Permitted by the State of Montana, Custer Gallatin Forest and Yellowstone National Park #117-16. We are a quality family owned and operated Montana outfitting business. Scott and Sandy Sallee are natives to the area and full time outfitters. We offer incredible summer fishing/horseback riding/camping trips in Yellowstone National Park and the 986,000 Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. We have a deluxe tent camp with hot showers, comfortable tents with cots and foam pads, and great food. We are permitted to operate under the National Park Service and Gallatin National Forest. Early r***e bugle elk hunting season opens September 15, and the high mountain vistas and wildlife will create an adventure you will never forget. We also lease a large private southwestern Montana cattle ranch for amazing archery and general r***e season big game hunting. We have a high rate of success on elk, mule deer, whitetail, and antelope.

We need a good stack of firewood for living in the mountains in the Fall. In the wilderness there are no wheels allowed, as everything is kept as natural from man-made items as possible. Scott designed a skid that's easy on the ground and the team. We have owned the mule Laddie on the left awhile, but his mate Lassie wasn't as broke as him. We bought another black mule, Beargrass, a couple months ago and hitched her with Laddie this week. They pull even and work great together. They both also ride and pack, so they are a real bonus to our outfitting business. Fortunately we have a great crew to help cut and split it all!

Good morning! We have been busy working in the mountains. It is green and much cooler in the highcountry than down in the valley. We have some new mules to ride. Scott is enjoying Yellow Dog, who is super sensible and independent and can really travel. Scott has been wearing his new kidney brace that helps keep his chest injuries in place. I am happy on Mayfly, whose long legs are super comfortable. I tore my hamstring a month ago getting out of our carriage, and it has been very sore to ride. I tried Mayfly coming out of wilderness camp yesterday. She is broke and smooth. Mules like these help us keep going doing the things we love!

For Friday, a Few more Photos from the July Fourth Festival in Livingston, Montana. We packed up our bell mare and 17 black mules carrying the American Flag for the parade. Each night we took our buckskin team Big Nose Kate and Doc Holliday into the rodeo arena with our wagon for the Grand Entry, honoring volunteers, veterans, Landon's Legacy, and cancer warriors. The Honor was all Ours!

Driving our Shire/quarter cross buckskin team in Paradise Valley today, Big-Nose Kate and Doc Holliday. They are full brother and sister and have worked for a living dragging wood and riding them several years in our wilderness camps north of Yellowstone. Kate and Doc will be hosting the little rodeo princesses in the famous Livingston Parade tomorrow. Scott has been riding in this parade since he was in kindergarten. Kate and Doc will also be heading the Grand Entry in the world-famous Livingston Rodeo the next four nights with worthy local folks riding along. Don’t miss Rodeo weekend in Livingston! Broncs, Bulls, Roping, Family Fun and Fireworks!

Billings Livestock Horse Sale - where everyone loves horses - and mules! Here we are with Jane and June, #67 and , in the arena with the famous BLS sign in the background. We got a picture with Jace Thompson’s fancy new world champion auctioneer pickup; then our favorite Hall of Fame ba****ck rider and cowboy Deb Greenough drove Jane and June with us.
