✨Fundamentals and Flow of Capoeira✨
This two-hour, all-levels workshop explores the essential elements of capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian art fusing martial arts, movement, rhythm, music, and cultural tradition. Participants will learn foundational footwork, kicks, escapes, and the basics of capoeira music—enough to begin engaging in capoeira together. From there, we’ll focus on developing fluidity: using balance, body-weight control, and momentum to link movements into the seamless flow that capoeira is so renowed for. The workshop is designed for brand-new participants and is equally rewarding for those with backgrounds in capoeira or other movement arts.
