Showing up for my kids is my favorite thing. Their Oregon trail project ended with a trip to learning how early pioneers lived. Churning butter, hand washing clothes, sewing bags - it all makes me grateful for technology 😉

I spy with my little eye 😍

I taught two Pilates classes early this morning then spent the rest of the morning chaperoning a 4th grade field trip to the arboretum.

Interesting fact - magnolia trees are older than bees and had to be pollinated by beetles. How strange to think of a world where fuzzy, buzzing pollinators didn’t exist.

Happy teacher appreciation week! Please do something extra nice for your child’s teacher. They’re tired right now, all the testing, assessments and field trips are ramped up, and we’re all just trying to make it to the end of the year when we’d rather be outside in our gardens while listening to a good book alone.

An appreciation post for all the pretty purple blooms in my garden right now - the sage I’d planted from seed two years ago, the spider wort thriving after I’d pruned it, and the garlic chives showing off in floral glory 😍

Happy international Pilates day!

I’ll be celebrating by using my strong Pilates body to buy tasty and beautiful things for the garden and putting them in the ground. Perhaps some planks while pulling weeds, too. It’s going to be a gorgeous day 😍

Me time after class time… interrupted by geese scoping out the pool. We’ve had a pair of ducks hanging out but apparently the word has spread among the neighborhood waterfowl that we have a spot to cool down 🤦🏽‍♀️
