BOTTOM BOARD Racquetball is about playing with precision, discipline, confidence, and a winner’s standard.
On the court, the BOTTOM BOARD is the most effective area to attack consistently. Anybody can swing hard. Bottom Board players built themselves; they control the ball, hit low, make smart decisions, and force their opponent to play on their terms. Think Portillo, Parrilla or Acuna. The mentality is simple: precision over chaos, discipline over ego, ex*****on over excuses.
A Bottom Board player believes that winning is earned through repetition and control. You don’t need to show off. You don’t need to “talk the loudest.” You let your shots, preparation, and results speak for themselves. That is why slogans such as BOTTOM BOARD IS EARNED, PRECISION. DISCIPLINE. DOMINATE. and EARN RESPECT. NOT ATTENTION. Represent who these individuals are.
This lifestyle takes that same standard off the court. Bottom Board represents people who expect quality from themselves—in the way they compete, carry themselves, work, dress, and celebrate. After a hard match, these players don’t run for a b**r; they go for top-shelf bourbon, good conversation, and time spent with their small group of friends, who understand what it means to earn something. It is not about being flashy or pretending to be elite. It is about having standards and striving to reach those standards.

Low Life is a racquetball mentality and a lifestyle.
On the court, it starts with something simple: play low. The lower you keep the ball, the harder you make life for your opponent. Low shots, tight passes, smart angles, fewer skips. That is where lines like AIM LOW. SKIP LESS. and PLAY HARD. LIVE LOW. come from. Low Life celebrates the gritty side of racquetball—the long rallies, the bad bounces, the dives, the sweat, and the players who keep coming back because they love the game.
But Low Life was never supposed to be only about winning points. The bigger idea is what happens after the match – the culture! You walk off the court, grab a b**r, laugh about the terrible shot you just hit, argue about the one that should have been a replay, and hang out with the same people you were trying to beat five minutes earlier. That is why BAD BOUNCES. GOOD FRIENDS. is such an important line for us at Low Life by DOVETAIL.
Low Life says racquetball does not have to take itself too seriously. You can compete hard without having an ego. You can want to win and still enjoy the people around you. You can be competitive on the court and part of a community when the match is over.
