7 months. Consistent effort. Life-changing results.

Shirlene has gone from a size 18 to a size 12 while building strength, improving her health, and feeling better than she has in years.

What stands out most is that her program was built specifically for her goals, abilities, and needs. That’s how we approach every member at Strait Fitness.

Thank you, Shirlene, for the kind words and for showing what’s possible when the right plan meets consistent action.

A lot of adults reach a point where exercise feels different than it did ten or twenty years ago.

A favorite workout starts aggravating a shoulder. A hike leaves the knees irritated for days. A round of golf, a day in the garden, or a weekend adventure comes with more recovery than expected.

Many people already know strength training would help. The challenge is finding an approach that works with the body they have today.

That’s where individualized coaching matters.

Every member at Strait Fitness follows a program built around their current abilities, injury history, movement limitations, and personal goals. Adjustments are made as progress happens, allowing strength, mobility, and confidence to improve over time.

The result is a training experience that fits real life and supports the activities that matter most outside the gym.

If building strength feels important but finding the right starting point has been difficult, comment Stronger below and we’ll reach out with more information.

Running a business. Raising a family. Trying to stay fit & healthy while juggling everything else life throws at you.

That’s why we’re so proud of Cassie.

She didn’t wait for the perfect time. She committed to the process, stayed consistent, and the results followed.

Strength training isn’t just about looking strong. It’s about feeling strong, having the energy to keep up with your kids, the confidence that comes from taking care of yourself, and the capability to handle whatever life puts in front of you.

Great work, Cassie . Thanks for trusting us with your fitness journey.

Sometimes clients don’t realize how far they’ve come until they look back.

The person who struggled getting off the floor.
The person who avoided hikes because their knees hurt.
The person who felt weak, stiff, or exhausted all the time.

Months later they’re carrying groceries easier, hiking again, getting stronger, moving with confidence, and doing things that used to feel hard.

Progress usually happens slower than social media makes it look. Then one day you realize your body can do things it couldn’t do six months ago.

That’s why we focus on consistency, smart programming, and strength for real life.

Especially for adults over 40, the goal isn’t just looking fit.
It’s staying capable for the life you want to live.

Life is rarely a straight line.

Injuries happen. Surgeries happen. Energy fluctuates. Bodies change with time.

The goal of strength training is not to create a body that never deals with pain or setbacks. The goal is to build more capacity, more resilience, and more options when life gets hard.

That’s what makes Candi’s story so powerful.

After a back fusion, rotator cuff issues, and foot surgery, she kept showing up. We adjusted when needed. Modified exercises when needed. Focused on proper technique, consistency, and gradual progress.

Now she’s stronger than she thought possible.

That’s the value of individualized coaching in a small group setting.

More ability to keep moving.
More confidence in your body.
More freedom to stay active and independent as you age.

Strength for real life. Even through the ups and downs.

Mother’s Day means a little more to me every year.

I’m incredibly thankful for my wife and the way she continues to raise our girls with strength, kindness, resilience, and confidence.

Not just telling them those values matter… but living them every single day.

Watching them grow into strong young ladies is one of the greatest privileges of my life, and so much of that comes from her.

I’m also grateful for all the amazing women we get the chance to work with at Strait Fitness.

Mothers.
Grandmothers.
Wives.
Working professionals.
Women who continue to show up for themselves even while carrying so much for everyone else.

We see your strength every day.

Not just in workouts, but in your consistency, your resilience, and the example you set for the people around you.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women in our community.

We appreciate you more than you know.

Most adults over 40 spend more time thinking about supplements, detoxes, and “biohacks” than they do building strength.

Meanwhile, strength training continues to be one of the most researched tools we have for:

• Maintaining muscle mass
• Supporting bone density
• Improving balance and stability
• Supporting metabolism
• Reducing risk of falls and loss of independence
• Improving energy and resilience for everyday life

And no, you do not need brutal workouts.

You need a plan that matches your body, your current fitness level, and your lifestyle.

The goal is not to train like you’re 22 again.

The goal is to stay strong enough to keep doing the things you love for the next 20 to 30 years.

Hiking.
Traveling.
Playing with grandkids.
Carrying groceries.
Getting off the floor without struggle.
Living independently.

That’s real fitness.

If you’re over 40 and not strength training yet, you’re leaving one of the most powerful health tools on the table.

Most people assume it’s too late to start. It’s not.

She began strength training at 74. Eight years later, she’s still going. More balanced. Stronger. More confident.

What made the difference wasn’t random workouts or pushing harder. It was having a plan built for her.

Small group. Personal coaching.

You’re not following the same workout as everyone else. You’re following a program designed for your body, your history, and your goals, while training alongside others who keep you consistent.

That’s how people don’t just start. They stick with it.

If you’ve been thinking about getting started, this is your sign.

DM “START” and we’ll show you how it works.

Training shouldn’t feel like punishment.

It should feel like taking care of your body so life gets easier.

We’re not chasing extremes or random workouts.
We’re building strength that actually carries over to your day to day life.

That means meeting you where you are.
Working around your history.
Progressing at the right pace.

No starting over every few months.
Just a plan that fits your life and keeps you moving forward.

If that’s what you need, send “START” and we’ll show you how.
