17U Red Tournament Recap - Sports Force Park
Our 17U Red squad put together another outstanding weekend, finishing 3-1 against quality competition. More importantly, this group continues to grow, compete, and play the game the right way. Every weekend, we’re seeing the identity of this team become more evident.

The numbers tell the story of a complete baseball team.
Offensively, we continued to demonstrate outstanding discipline at the plate, drawing 24 walks while striking out only 12 times in four games. We consistently forced opposing pitchers to work, created traffic on the bases, and found different ways to score. Our 15 stolen bases reflect the aggressive style of baseball we want to play.
On the mound, our pitching staff was exceptional throughout the tournament. Over 24 innings, our pitchers recorded 30 strikeouts while limiting opponents to just 14 total runs. Every pitcher who took the ball gave us a chance to win, and our staff continues to compete at a very high level.
One of the biggest positives was our versatility. We won games in different ways—a balanced 6-3 win, a hard-fought 3-1 pitchers’ duel, and a 14-4 run-rule victory. Even in our only loss, we out-hit our opponent 11-6, showing that we were competitive in every game we played.
Just as important as the statistics was the way our players competed. Different players stepped up throughout the weekend, contributions came from every part of the lineup, and our team continued to play with energy, toughness, and confidence. That depth is what makes good teams difficult to beat.
I’m proud of the effort, attitude, and commitment these players continue to bring every day. These guys play the right way, support each other in our unique Recruit way, and create the best bench in travel baseball.
I couldn’t be more proud and am excited about where these young men are headed.
