Yesterday we got to bring down a trip special to my heart. The Ronan High School's, Montana environmental science class came down the river. This class is now taught by our very own Jack Whittle. I took this class as a Freshman in 2004, while Chris Briske was teaching it and Al Onsager was the river manager for FRC as well as teaching at RHS. This is an amazing class that gets kids engaged in outdoor activities and focuses on conservation of our environment.

We will be hosting our very first R2 Clinic on Saturday September 12th and 13th. This Clinic will consist of 4 trips down Buffalo Rapids practicing the skills and techniques required for consistent successful R2 trips. You can bring your own partner or paddle with other students and instructors. This class runs $299 and raft rentals are available for the class. Meet your guides: This is Bruce Gerlach! Bruce has decided that retirement is not for him and that age is just a number. He is out here keeping up with the younger guides showing them how its done. He came to us wanting to be a flatwater guide but fell in love with the river and wanted to guide the rapids!
