.. and a redemption weekend it was!!

Your 10u Rough Riders are UFC CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Going 1-0-1 on Saturday, these boys played their best baseball yet on Sunday, leaving it all on the field, winning 3 games and going home champions!!

So much heart on this team. We’ve lost track of how many high fives, fist bumps, and ‘atta boys’ this group gives each other! Constantly cheering each other on, celebrating others successes and picking each other up, this team is truly something special. Love watching them continue to grow together, support each other, and WIN together! Let’s celebrate boys, you earned it! 🤩

And if baseball stats matter, they collected 51 hits in 5 games, batting .486 collectively as a team. They stole 51 bases and scored 54 runs. The bats were on fire! 🔥

Right back at it this weekend! The boys are hungry for a redemption weekend! Let’s go Riders! RR⬆️

Scared Hitless MVP - #27 Cameron 🏆

All season, Cam has shown up with consistency and the drive to succeed. He is always ready to learn and has grown tremendously over the last year. Cam may be the youngest player on the team, but you wouldn’t know. He brings a humble maturity and is quite the leader on and off the field.

This weekend, Cam earned MVP for all those things mentioned already as he continues to be a positive attitude in the dugout each and every practice and game. He had 2 incredible power hits this tournament. His bat is hot and it’s only a matter of time before one clears the fence. He also stepped up to the plate in a big way this weekend, accepting the pressure of the lead off hitter for Sundays game. He played a stellar 2nd base, making crucial outs on defense with the game on the line.

We love having Cam on the team and love the energy he brings! RR⬆️

Coaches Appreciation Tournament MVP - #6 Chase

Chase had a breakthrough tournament where his bat came alive! Chase has been working hard this season and it showed this weekend! Chase had 2 great hits, one single and a powerful double resulting in 4 RBIs total and helping lead the team to victory! He showed patience at the plate with 2 walks. Chase also made some incredible clutch catches in the outfield while being quick on his feet and tracking the ball well!

Chase is a talented and passionate kid and has shown incredible growth this season in dugout leadership and support for his teammates. He was quick to flush away tough individual moments this weekend and continue cheering on his team. His growth is a great reminder that development isn’t always about how quickly you improve, it’s about showing up, learning from mistakes, and becoming a better version of yourself along the way. We are so proud of the player and teammate he is! Keep grinding, kid!

Coaches Appreciation Tournament MVP — #1 Carson

Carson was the perfect example of a complete team player this weekend. When we needed him most, he stepped up and laid down two beautiful sac bunts for RBIs with the game on the line! Carson has shown selflessness all season, putting the team above himself, and doing whatever it takes for the team to succeed. He is a great utility player, shows up and gives 100% no matter what position he is playing. He is a loud and positive voice in the dugout leading his teammates in cheers all game long.

Carson also had an impressive weekend in the field. He caught 8 innings in 2 games, showing grit and endurance. He threw out 2 kids stealing and had one pick off. He pitched 2 great innings and made some great plays at SS. He showed patience at the plate with 3 walks and scored 4 runs.

Carson has been with the Rough Riders for 3 seasons and has shown so much growth and we love having him as part of the RR family and love watching him play! Keep working hard, kid!

Coaches Appreciation Tournament - CHAMPIONS! 🤩🏆

Your 10u Rough Riders went 1-1 on Saturday and just missed the cut for the gold bracket. Sitting top seed of the silver bracket, they came out Sunday, hungry for a championship! They showed up, showed out and truly won as a team. 7 of our 11 kids saw time on the mound, striking out 19, and throwing out 4 kids stealing bases.

The boys racked up 21 runs with some clutch hitting and a few timely sacrifice bunts with the game on the line. Each kiddo played a part in this team victory! This team is something special, and they are growing, working, and learning together. Excited to see what the rest of the season holds!

Shout out to the parents and coaches for everything you do! Let’s go Riders! RR⬆️
