Changing "gears" haha.. Actually, losing the gears for shoes for a half marathon on Valentines Day. 10 weeks. to do a 12 week program which was the shortest one I could find.

I also decided to do it in under 2 hours, not just finish.

Race pics. I did film but forgot to switch the shooting mode so it is mostly junk.

I was steadily raising my seatpost for max leg extension weeks leading up to the race, and I overdid it way too much. I wasn't locking out the knee but to do that I was rocking my hips quite a lot to get the foot down the pedalstroke. The result? spasms, cramps, and wanting to quit this one more than any race prior, but I realized my mistake during the race and at least enjoyed the "group ride" on the singletrack leading to the finish. I podiumed too, bottom 3 finishers, 16th out of 19 racers. The opposite of what my goal was! O well, learned what went wrong and am fixing it.
