I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for all the messages and stop-ins asking about my foot injury. 🩷 The care and consideration you all have for my wellbeing is incredibly kind. I am still on crutches for now but I am healing..slowly but surely. I think I’ve finally come to terms with this forced period of rest, despite my strong resistance at first. lol
I have my next follow-up with orthopedics in three weeks to see how the fractures healing and will receive my next steps for care then.
I know our shop has been sporadic with hours/offerings lately but I do appreciate your patience with us.

today marks three years of owning 110 E and pouring ourselves into renovations, care, creation and fostering community within its walls. although I know in my heart this won’t be home forever, it has been one of our greatest adventures together and I do love calling it home now. I still remember that feeling in my belly, unlocking that back door for the first time as owners..there was a moment of oh my gosh what did we do. lolol and sometimes I still feel that way, like when the flood came barreling in the back door night two of our mask making workshop or when our shack ceiling collapsed or when we tackled the pit in the back. there have been many moments of frustration from what seems like endless restoration but I think I can feel the spirit of the building thanking us for giving it the love it deserves. this space has provided us security, comfort, inspiration and the chance to meet so many incredible neighbors. for all that, I’m incredibly grateful.

Popping in to say thank you for all the sweet messages checking-in about my foot injury. 💕

I had my follow-up appointment with orthopedics yesterday to go over MRI results. I fractured my heel bone, fractured my ankle bone in one spot and chipped it in another. Currently struggling with a bad case of marrow edema in both bones so I’m trying to get the swelling down best I can, to relieve some of the pain. No torn ligaments or tendons and no surgery is needed, which is really good news!

I’m in a boot and have been placed on a strict non-weight-bearing restriction for another 6–9 weeks..so I’ll be hobbling on crutches for a while longer. If anyone has a knee scooter I can rent or borrow from them, I think that would help significantly with mobility.

UaZit pulled this card yesterday morning and we had a good laugh..because it’s literally us rn. lolol
