A new chapter at Maha 📚☺️
When Maha started 14 years ago (!!), yoga was the center of everything we did. While asana is still a huge part of Maha, over the years our work has expanded to include mobility, functional movement, anatomy, strength, and what we like to call literacy in movement: understanding your body well enough to make informed choices about how you move.
So we’re updating our brand to better reflect the Maha that exists today. 💫
Because we believe a brand that can evolve is sustainable. One that has to stay frozen in its original form is fragile.
You’ll start seeing these changes show up in a few ways:
⭐️ Our name and lookWe have a new lowercase logo, new colors, and a refreshed visual identity. Maha has been our name since long before the acronym became associated with RFK Jr. While the similarity is purely coincidental, we felt it was important to make a clear distinction. Our values are—and have always been—rooted in evidence-based movement, inclusivity, accessibility, and support for universal healthcare.
💻 Letting go of livestreamLivestream was incredibly useful at a particular moment in time. But we’ve reached a point where we want to put our energy into the thing we do best: being together in the studio, moving, learning, and building community IRL.
⭐️ Phasing out the video library
Same idea-- the library served a purpose, but it no longer feels like the best representation of what Maha is about. We’d rather focus on creating meaningful, in-person experiences than trying to be everything to everyone online.
🗓️ Class registration through FitDegree AppWe’ll be moving toward using the FD app more fully for schedules, registration, and studio information. More on that soon!
At the heart of all of this is a simple idea: Maha isn’t just a yoga studio anymore. It’s a movement studio built around yoga, mobility, strength, progressive values and community. We want our brand—and the way we operate—to reflect that.
Thanks for growing with us. 🌱
