What is it?

-Remember how much you loved to hear your favorite stories growing up? How exciting it was to get new shoes? How much you looked forward to the holidays?

-The children at Operation Breakthrough are no different. The little things that thrilled you when you were small, light up their faces today. With small gifts or goods, you can help them create happy childhood memories, too.

As a gym, we killed it last year and were able to help 5 Families. This year, because of our new location/moving as well as Operation Breakthrough having an abundance of people trying to help we only took Three Families. With being said, our time is short to get all gifts. Please let me know if you have any questions or trouble signing up. I will have a drop box at the gym to bring by the gifts. PLEASE LABEL THE GIFTS YOU BRING WITH THE NAME YOU SELECTED.

I am so excited to announce that I have verbally committed to play Division 1 beach volleyball at the University of Alabama Birmingham!! I am so thankful for my family, friends, coaches, and trainers that have supported me throughout all of this! I would especially like to thank and for training me to be the player I am! GO BLAZERS!🐉

Not only is getting one of the best athletes that comes into the facility, but their getting a teammate, a leader, a hard worker, a competitor, but above all else a great young woman that will positively impact a program in ways that will continue to elevate the culture of UAB athletics.

“Today marks 1 year of recovery from anorexia. In this past year, I have gained over 70 pounds but even more than that, I’ve gained a love for life again, many friends and a great amount of memories. The silver lining to this experience is that it has opened my eyes to a career path in Dietetics where I will be able to help those who are in a place that I am all too familiar with. Wouldn’t be where I am without my amazing support system of friends and Tammy Straight& Mitch Straight. If you’re ever struggling, don’t hesitate to reach out to me ❤️”
