One of our favorite movements at the Studio is the Landmine Row!

Looks complex, but we can break it down in 3 easy steps:

1️⃣ Brace the Core! Think of this as pulling the belly button back towards the spine. The core should be tight so that we have a strong and supported low back during the movement.

2️⃣ Hinge the Hips! A hip hinge is simple, pushing the hips back while keeping the spine nice and neutral. Think of it as closing a door with your 🍑

3️⃣ Bend the Knees! Keep a slight bend in the knees so that the shins are still upright and continue to brace that core so the low back stays supported.

If overhead press is bothering your shoulder, it doesn’t mean you have to stop training.

Here is a simple three step landmine press progression I use with clients:

🔹 Progression 1:
Standing double arm landmine press

🔹 Progression 2:
Standing single arm landmine press

🔹 Progression 3:
Half kneeling single arm landmine press

Shoulder pain doesn’t mean you can’t work out!

If your knees cave in when you squat…

That’s not “just bad form”

It’s weak glutes… anddd

it’s setting you up for ACL, MCL, and meniscus issues long term.

Here’s the quick fix:
✅ Keep pressure on your pinky toe - it stops your knees from caving in.

The long-term fix:
💪 Strengthen your glute med with hip circle walks and banded squats.

Train smart to avoid injuries!!
