Friends, I have a personal favor to ask.
My name is Bernhard Stomporowski, and I am the HeadCoach of the Sarasota Scullers.
I am incredibly proud to share that one of our athletes has qualified for the U23 World Rowing Championships—an extraordinary achievement that reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and hard work.
As coaches, we invest countless hours helping our athletes reach their goals, and now one of our rowers has earned the opportunity to compete against the best young athletes in the world.
To provide the support, guidance, and coaching needed at this level, I need to travel with the athlete to the championships.
Unfortunately, the costs associated with attending are significant, and our club is raising funds to help cover the coaching expenses. That's why I'm reaching out to my friends, family, and supporters.

🚣 SUMMER CAMP HAPPENING NOW 🚣

Our 12-day summer camp kicked off on May 28th and our young rowers are having an incredible time! We're now in the heart of camp, and the progress we're seeing is amazing.

Whether your child is interested in trying rowing for the first time or wants to advance their skills, our summer camps are the perfect introduction to the sport. Kids from Venice, Sarasota County, and beyond are joining us to experience world-class coaching, build confidence, and make lasting friendships on the water.

Sarasota Scullers Set to Compete at U23 Qualification Regatta
The Sarasota Scullers are proud to announce that several of their standout athletes from the 2026 Summer Camp program will be competing at the USRowing U23 Qualification Regatta in Princeton from July 3rd to July 5th. While this group may be young, they represent the very best of the program and are ready to take on some of the nation’s top competition.
Leading the lineup, Ashley and Lauren will race in the U23 lightweight double scull (2x), bringing speed, precision, and strong partnership to the event. In the single sculls, Sage will compete in the U23 lightweight 1x, while Levi will take on the U23 1x, both showcasing their individual skill, determination, and racing experience.
These athletes have trained hard throughout the summer, demonstrating dedication and a commitment to excellence that defines the Sarasota Scullers. Competing at this level is both an honor and an important step in their development as competitive rowers.
The entire Sarasota Scullers community wishes Ashley, Lauren, Sage, and Levi the very best of luck as they head to Princeton. We are proud to support them and look forward to seeing them represent our team on the national stage.
