Today's softball tournament was a resounding success, and numerous expressions of gratitude are in order.

1. Special thanks to Beth Olsen and Bubba Huisman of the Osage Park and Recreation department for providing exceptional facilities and ensuring the fields were meticulously prepared.

2. Appreciation is extended to Darren Adams for generously allowing us to utilize his space and operate the concessions stand.

3. The umpiring crew, consisting of Brian Perrin, Justin Murphy, Aubrey Chapman, Olivia Chapman, Brett Darrow, Andy Janssen, Gable Hemann, and Ainsley Hemann, demonstrated professionalism and expertise throughout the event. Good umpires are tough to find and ours are the best!

4. Melinda Darrow's tireless efforts at the grill ensured that participants were well-fed, and gratitude is also due to concessions workers Danielle, Jess, Melissa, Kelly, Jackie, and many others who contributed to this effort.

5. Thank you for the generous donations from numerous parents, which enhanced the concessions stand's offerings.

6. Jordan Bremer's diligence in maintaining the diamonds was instrumental in the tournament's success.

7. Nick Hemann and the Osage High School Softball team are thanked for their support and allowing us to use their facilities. Nick is always willing to do anything for the youth program.

8. The Osage High School players' involvement and assistance are commendable, and their contributions to the youth program are appreciated.

9. Gratitude is extended to all coaches for their voluntary efforts and dedication to the development of these young athletes.

10. Finally, thank you Mother Nature. Much better job than last year.

A softball tournament of this magnitude requires meticulous planning and ex*****on. A huge thank you to all involved in making it a success. I’m sure I left people out. Thanks everyone!

Come on down to the Bob Muller fields and get a boba drink from our 14U Diamond Devil girls. While your here come cheer on the teams and grab a burger, brat or hotdog from the concession stand.

If you signed up to provide drinks for the concession stand for the tournament Saturday please drop them off Friday evening between 6:00 and 7:30. You can stack them by the back door of the concession stand at the ball diamond complex. Danielle Dorsey and Kailee Janssen will be in the area and will get them on ice.

Those who signed up to bring food can drop off anytime at Cooper’s Auto on Friday or just bring to the concession stand around 8:00 Saturday morning. Thanks for everyone’s willingness to help!

REMINDER TO ALL DIAMOND DEVILS:

Meat bundle orders and payments are due tomorrow. You can turn into your coach if you are practicing. Otherwise If you are at Lincoln Elementary you can turn into Mrs. McRoberts. If you are at Osage Middle School you can turn into Mrs. Demuth. Remember that checks should be made out to Diamond Devils.

The Diamond Devils want to congratulate our friend and guest pitching coach Kelsey Aikey. Kelsey is an assistant coach for Simpson College. The Storm punched their ticket to the DIII College World Series. Good Luck Coach Kelsey!

Saturday May 30 the Diamond Devils will Host a 10u and a 12u round robin tournament. The 8u will also play a double header that day. Anyone interested in donating items for the concessions stand please put your name on the google doc.

We are still hoping to round up enough teams/umpires to do something similar for our 11u and 14u teams either later in the summer or early fall. Stay tuned.
