What an amazing day at the 14th Annual Sportsplex Tri for Kids!

For the first time ever, the race sold out, and a record 224 athletes from six states joined us for an unforgettable day of determination, courage, smiles, and fun.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers, sponsors, photographers, timers, Opelika Sportsplex staff, and families for making this event possible. Every athlete who crossed the finish line is a champion!

Sportsplex Tri for Kids Practice Session Reminder

Race day is almost here! Registered athletes and parents, don't forget about our first Sportsplex Tri for Kids Practice Session tomorrow evening.

Thursday, July 23
6:15 PM CT
Meet beside the outdoor pool at the Opelika Sportsplex.

We'll review the transition area, bike and run courses, race-day procedures, and finish with swim practice in the pool. This is a great opportunity for athletes to become familiar with the course, ask questions, and build confidence before race day.

Please bring:
• Bike
• Helmet
• Swimsuit
• Goggles
• Towel
• Running shoes
• Water bottle

If you can't make tomorrow's practice, we'll have one final practice session on Monday, July 27 at 6:15 PM, covering the same information.

Registration is almost full!

The 14th Annual Sportsplex Tri for Kids is filling up quickly, and we are down to about 15 spots remaining for the Sportsplex Tri for Kids (ages 5–15)!

Registrations will be accepted until we reach capacity. Once all spots are filled, registration will close and we will not be able to accept additional participants.

Our Small Fry Tri (ages 2–5) is also filling up, with limited spots still available for our youngest athletes to join the fun!

If your child is planning to race with us on Saturday, August 1, now is the time to register so they don’t miss out. We can’t wait to see everyone at the Sportsplex for another great race day!

Race Day is Almost Here!

The 14th Annual Sportsplex Tri for Kids (ages 5–15) is just around the corner! Help your athlete feel confident and prepared by joining us for one (or both!) of our optional practice sessions at the Opelika Sportsplex.

Thursday, July 23 – 7:15 PM
Monday, July 27 – 7:15 PM

Meet beside the outdoor pool. Sessions last about one hour and include practicing transitions, reviewing the course, answering questions, and finishing with swim practice.

Bring: Swimsuit, goggles, towel, bike, helmet, running shoes, and a water bottle.

Parents are encouraged to stay for important race-day information and questions.

Registration is still open for the Sportsplex Tri for Kids, but only for a few more days! Don’t miss your chance to be part of this year’s event. We can’t wait to see our athletes on August 1!
