The Small Fry Tri is designed especially for children ages 2-5 and is one of the most fun parts of race day!

There's no pressure, no competition, and no official results—just young athletes having fun, trying something new, and enjoying the excitement of crossing a real finish line.

Whether they're riding a bike, trike, or balance bike, every participant gets their moment to shine and earns a finisher medal to celebrate their achievement.

The Small Fry Tri is back for the 14th Annual Sportsplex Tri for Kids — and we’re excited to introduce a NEW course this year!

Join us on Saturday, August 1 at the Opelika Sportsplex for this fun and encouraging event designed especially for our youngest athletes ages 2–5.

The Small Fry Tri is all about smiles, confidence, and having fun while introducing little ones to the excitement of race day in a safe and supportive environment.
