🎶 9 to 5… and playing ball! 🥎💗

This week, the Lady Outlaws honored one of our all-time favorites, Dolly Parton, with a little Dolly-inspired walk-up music! Each girl had her very own Dolly song, and watching them walk up to the plate to their individual songs was so special. 🦋

And the girls brought some good ball with them! 🔥

✨ Elizabeth turned a BEAUTIFUL double play!
💣 Emery absolutely CRUSHED one for a BIG home run!
💪🏼 Our pitchers and catchers were absolutely awesome in the heat all day. Working hard, staying focused, and keeping us in the game!
👏 And the whole team showed up, competed, and played some really good softball.

The day didn’t end quite the way we had planned, but that’s softball. You win some, you lose some, and you make memories along the way. ❤️

Yesterday our girls battled through some of the hottest temperatures we’ve ever played in, and then add turf that somehow feels like it’s 20 degrees hotter, and whew… 🥵

We faced some stiff competition this weekend, including girls who were nearly two years older than some of our Outlaws. But you would never know it by the way these girls fought. We were impressed with every single one of them; their resilience, determination, and drive to get the outs, make the plays, and keep fighting no matter what was thrown at them. 💪🏼🥎

The Outlaws finished 3rd place in the 12U Gold Bracket, and we are NOT upset about that performance one bit! Proud of this group and how they continue to compete, grow, and never back down. 🩷🧡💙🖤

Help us wish our #️⃣1️⃣1️⃣, Raelyn, the HAPPIEST 1️⃣1️⃣th BIRTHDAY!!!! 🎉🥳🥎🧡🩷💙

A golden softball birthday?! We say YES! 💛✨

Raelyn (aka Rae, Rae Rae, Rae Bae, Rae-lene, or Sierra 😂) is a kid who truly eats, sleeps, and breathes softball. Whether she’s at a private lesson, our team practice, her middle school team practice, a tournament, or a MS game, this girl is somewhere putting in the work — and boy, does it show! 💪🥎

Rae can do it all, and we are so lucky she’s ours! We love watching that long ponytail fling through the air as she pitches, seeing those pretty frames from behind the plate, those dirty shirts and holey knees from sliding into bases, and the way she makes those beautiful stretches at 1B look effortless. 🥎🔥

But more than anything, we love watching her grow, compete, work hard, and have fun doing what she loves. We are proud to have you on our team, Rae!

After being off for almost a MONTH (which we never do 😅), the Outlaws decided there was no better way to get back on the dirt than with a fun, Banana Ball-style tournament! 🍌⚾️

And when we say the rules were WILD… they were WILD.

🔄 Run the bases backwards
🚫 Couldn’t step out of the batter’s box
👥 Extra defensive players on the field
🤐 No mound visits
🏃‍♀️ And you could steal 1st on a passed ball ANYTIME during your at-bat!

Needless to say, those whacky rules made for a couple of challenging pool play games. But once we got back to regular softball rules for bracket play, the girls were MUCH happier, and it showed! 💪🏼🥎

The Outlaws battled their way to a 🥈 2nd place finish!

🏆 MVPs:
⭐ Rae – Great pitching all day AND a solid hit to the fence!
⭐ Shrader – Put in work behind the dish and came through with a huge 2-run RBI to secure the lead and the win! 🔥
⭐ Ryleigh – An ESPN-worthy diving catch in the outfield that had everyone cheering. 👏🏼

Most importantly, these girls played some REALLY great ball. We were especially proud of the teamwork, communication, and trust they showed each other on the field. They had each other’s backs, communicated through the tough moments, and fought until the very last out.

Way to go, Outlaws! 🥎🔥
