💙🩺 CNA WEEK SPOTLIGHT 🩺💙

Today we are celebrating two incredible members of our Edgewood family, Tanisha and Daisy!

✨ Tanisha is from Omaha and has dedicated an amazing 25 years to healthcare. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her favorite part of working at Edgewood is seeing our residents every day and getting to enjoy their unique personalities. Her compassion, experience, and dedication make a difference in the lives of those she cares for each day.

✨ Daisy is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, and has been in healthcare for 7 years. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with friends. Daisy loves participating in activities with our residents and helping create fun, meaningful moments that bring smiles to their faces.

Thank you, Tanisha and Daisy, for your hard work, kindness, and commitment to our residents. We are grateful for everything you do and are proud to celebrate you during CNA Week! 💙🎉

🎉 Kicking CNA Week Off Early at Edgewood! 🎉

As we begin celebrating CNA Week, we want to recognize two amazing caregivers who make a difference in the lives of our residents every day! ❤️

🌟 Lauren has been with Edgewood for 4 years and has worked in healthcare for 4 years. She is currently a nursing student with a bright future ahead of her! When she’s not caring for residents, she enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time outdoors. Lauren’s favorite part about working at Edgewood is helping residents and making them smile every day. 😊

🌟 Genevieve is originally from Arizona and has dedicated 13 years to healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and watching TV. Her favorite thing about working at Edgewood is being part of a small community where she can build meaningful relationships with residents and truly get to know them. ❤️

We are so grateful for the compassion, dedication, and kindness that Lauren and Genevieve bring to our residents and team each day. Thank you both for all you do!

Willie doesn’t come to Rock Steady Boxing because he’s training for a heavyweight title. He comes because he’s giving Parkinson’s a run for its money.

For Willie, every class is a commitment to keep moving. What started as an exercise program has become something much bigger: a community, a source of confidence, and a place where determination shows up again and again. The punches matter. The drills matter. But the real victory is showing up and refusing to let Parkinson’s define the next chapter.

Parkinson’s may have changed the fight, but for Willie, it doesn’t get the final round!

Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s is more than exercise it’s movement, connection, and community. Building strength, confidence, and support one round at a time.

🇺🇸 Today we honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Wishing everyone a meaningful and safe Memorial Day as we remember our fallen heroes. ❤️🤍💙

Memorial Day at Edgewood Omaha was a hit 🇺🇸 Huge thank you to Billie and the team for putting together such a great celebration for our residents and families. We also want to thank Suncrest Hospice, Gentiva Hospice, Way To Stay Homecare, CenterWell Home Health, and Angels Care Home Health for going above and beyond with the food, decorations, fun, and fellowship. And of course we can’t forget Jennifer, our LPN Manager who had everyone smiling with her singing performance ❤️🎶

Teachers make up many of our residents. What makes it special is how they bring the same patience and understanding they once used in the classroom into everyday life here. So, while they may not have a lesson plan anymore… they’re still shaping the room, building connections, and making people feel seen.

Because they didn’t stop teaching. They just changed classrooms.

Sweet treats and even sweeter memories today at our baking club here at Edgewood Assisted Living! 🍫❤️ Our residents had so much fun making delicious brownies together, and we were so excited to see even more friends join the club this time around. The laughter, teamwork, and smell of fresh brownies made for the perfect afternoon! We can’t wait for our next baking adventure! 👩‍🍳🧁

Today we took our amazing gardener on a special trip to Walmart to pick out the rest of the supplies for our courtyard makeover! 🌸🌿 From flowers and plants to all the little finishing touches, we are so excited to watch the courtyard bloom into a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy. We are so thankful for the love, hard work, and green thumb that help make our community feel like home! 💚☀️
