Follow the Knowing

Follow the Knowing We keep falling back into "I" when we most need to function as "We." Helping individuals & organizations change that. → Becoming We What is knowing?

Follow the Knowing is a purpose driven company, with an aim to create spaces for people to find and follow their knowing. It is the inner voice that exists deep inside us. Beautiful and powerful things transpire when we trust the voice and follow it's path.

Have you ever untangled a knotted mess? Not metaphorically — I mean physically, with actual string. Turns out it's nearly impossible to do alone. This week: a story about a kite, a rising tide, and what it taught me about Becoming We.

How do we actually tell the difference between intentionally choosing our own behavior and just reacting to what's in front of us? This week's essay is a story about my husband and a video game that gets at the answer.

Have you ever done an elimination diet? If so, you know how difficult it can be.

I was reminded of this experience when I reflected on our theme for the month: Intention, moving from reactive living to intentional choosing.

In this week's essay, I write about what I learned standing in the condiment aisle of the grocery store, reading through a list of ingredients. Spoiler alert, it's about much more than ketchup.

Well here we are again. Another shooting. Another round of "thoughts and prayers." This time, I found myself asking a difficult question: do people actually pray? Is there a practice behind those words, or is it just fluff?

My assumption was the latter, but writing this week's essay changed my mind. People do actually pray, a lot. We just don't talk about the mechanics in public much, so it feels like a hollow gesture. Prayer and meditation are one of the most consistent things humans have done for thousands of years, across every culture, in every civilization on record. What a contradiction.

This week's essay unpacks this part of being human, including my own daily practice.

Have you ever wished you could time travel? Well, I do it all the time. Using my vacuum cleaner. 😆 This week's essay explains. It's one of the small practices I do to notice which patterns are running me, so I can choose differently.

Have you ever been given something so generous that your first instinct was to reject it? That happened to me this week. It turned into a lesson about grace, ego, and why receiving is actually harder than giving. This week's essay.

This week, I met a dad at the boat ramp who talked about his family for several minutes without once saying "my wife" or "my kids." Just their names. I can't stop thinking about it. You can read the full story in this week's essay.
