Japanese Karate Academy is a traditional Japanese Martial arts dojo established by John Hileman. My goal is to instill the spirit and honor of traditional budo and encourage every student to not only excel their expectations, but mine as well. Our style is based on the techniques and training of Shindo-Jinen Ryu, Shotokan, and Aikido, but with self-defense adapted to the unfortunate reality of tod

ay's society. Though our focus is on self-defense, we also are quite successful at tournament competition.

Don't forget that tonight is the CPR/First aid class!
The AHA Heartsaver course is the national standard for lifesaving techniques that covers not only how to perform CPR and use an AED, but also what to do in all the most likely medical emergencies for both children and adults.
Tonight's class is held at Japanese Karate Academy at 7:00pm

Well, it's back to school time and this year I'm not really sure we had a summer at all. Even my kids were saying that it feels like school just ended last week. With all the back-to-school activities over the next few weeks, the karate schedule is a little thinner than usual. There are still plenty of classes to punch and kick away all that energy and frustration!
