🚨 Championship Night at Ogilvie Raceway has been canceled.

After heavy rains this morning, the track and grounds are too wet to safely hold the Track Championship tonight. With cloudy skies and high humidity, conditions are simply not drying out enough for us to prepare a safe and quality racing surface. We are also concerned about the questionable forecast and the possibility of additional rain later tonight.

We know how much our drivers, crews, fans, and staff were looking forward to Track Championship Night, and we hate having to make this call. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Ogilvie Raceway.

RAINOUT WRISTBANDS FROM AUG 15:
If you have a rainout wristband from August 15th, you have three options:
• Save it and carry it over to the Topless Nationals
• Mail your wristband in for a refund
• Stop by the track during the week to receive a refund

Thank you again for your patience and understanding. We hope to see everyone back at the Big O for the Fall Classic and Topless National in October!

Where’s Wally? 👀 🚧

Well, it looks like Wally may have crossed the line when he stopped by Hjort Excavating Inc 🫣 Hopefully the boss can let this one slide…

Hjort Excavating Inc is a 3-generation company that started in 1955 by Russell Hjort, who began with a single axel dump truck and a rubber-tired backhoe. Today, Dean and Randy have grown the company to over 25 trucks, numerous pieces of equipment and great work relationships that continue to grow.

Besides taking care of all of Ogilvie Raceway’s dirt and excavating needs, Hjort Excavating Inc also works commercial and residential jobs. With their combined 100+ years of trucking and excavating experience, there is no job too big or too small that they won’t entertain bidding.

We can’t thank Hjorts enough for their continued support of Ogilvie Raceway!! If you have a project that involves trucking, excavating, driveways, erosion control, culverts, or saw cutting, please check them out!

And don’t worry…. they have the keys back to that shiny yellow dump truck 😉😋

23rd MTH Fall Classic Offers Back Row Challenge

For Immediate Release

The 23rd annual MTH Fall Classic presented by Structural Buildings & KME will take place at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, MN on Friday and Saturday, October 9th & 10th and will feature a Back Row Challenge for competitors in each of the nine divisions that will be in action over the post-season invitational event.

At the 2025 event, a teaser of the Back Row Challenge was offered to the Super Stock division and Dave Mass took the challenge, forfeiting his pole starting position and electing to start at the tail of the feature with the chance at chasing some additional monies. After the buzz the challenge produced, event organizers decided to expand the promotion for the upcoming 2026 event.

Minnesota Truck Headquarters and Collins Bros. Towing are the sponsors of the Back Row Challenge, which will work like this:
• The driver that earns the pole for each of the nine features after heat races are complete on Friday night will have the opportunity to declare if they would like to start from the pole or forfeit the pole position and start last (24th) in the feature and chase an additional $2,300 if they should charge through the field and win the feature. Since the Fall Classic is entering it’s 23rd year, the decision was made to offer $2,300 to any driver that chooses to take the Back Row Challenge. In addition, if a driver does decide to take the challenge, he will earn an additional $23 per car he or she passes (to go along with the 23rd annual event) on his or her way to the front if he should not make it all the way forward and win the feature, so there will be additional guaranteed money no matter if the drivers wins or not.

Each polesitter will be asked at the pit meeting prior to the start of the Saturday portion of the event and will need to declare their intentions at that time.

The only rule that is in place for the Back Row Challenge to be in effect, is there must be a full field of 24 or more cars in the division for the challenge to be an option. Any division that does not have at minimum 24 cars starting the feature will not be eligible for the challenge, so drivers in a division that typically does not produce a minimum of 24 competitors should recruit and convince your friends and fellow racers to attend the event so you have a chance at the challenge.
