Let’s flip the script!

It can be a little intimidating walking into a room full of people you’ve never met.

You don’t know who you’ll talk to, who you’ll click with, or what might come of it.

But what if, instead of thinking, “”I don’t know anyone here,”” we thought, “”Look at all these people I haven’t met yet!””

There’s always the possibility of something good happening. A new friend, a great conversation, a little spark, or just a really fun experience.

I love how Case Kenny talks about this. Just showing up is an act of optimism. You’re giving something good the chance to happen. And sometimes that’s the biggest step!

So here’s a question. What’s the hardest part about showing up somewhere new for you? How do you overcome it?

If you’re single and looking for more ways to meet people in real life, you’re in the right place.

We’re talking game nights, volleyball, paint nights, hikes, comedy shows, and all kinds of fun adventures with other singles.

Come solo (most people do!), bring a single friend, try something new, and meet some good humans along the way.

Maybe you’ll make a new friend. Maybe there’ll be a little spark. Maybe you’ll just have a ridiculously fun night out. All sound better than staying in for the 16th night in a row. ;)

Make eye contact. Smile. Look away. Then look back and smile again.

That second look? That’s when they realize the smile was actually meant for them!

Such a simple little way to open the door to a conversation without having to say a word.

Anyone else feeling those shorter days?

There’s something about it getting dark before dinner that can make it really easy to go home, get cozy, and stay there. And sometimes, that’s exactly what we need. ;)

But when the evenings start feeling a little too quiet or the routine gets a little too routine, it might be time to change it up.

Make a plan. Invite someone along. Try something new. Put something on the calendar that gives you a reason to get out of the house and be around other humans. We promise, it’s good for you.

Sometimes we just have to go.
