I’m Danielle — the lady behind the scenes making all the Tactical Tallow products 👋

Tactical Tallow actually started because I saw a reel (shocking, I know 😅) of someone making deer tallow soap infused with pinecones, sticks, and forest goodies to create a cover scent for hunting. I thought it would make an awesome Christmas gift for Cam and my dad, so naturally I jumped in with zero clue what I was doing.

The result? A rock-hard, super lye-heavy disaster that literally burned my poor husband’s hands and crumbled apart 💀 BUT… it did kinda smell piney, and for some reason I was completely hooked after that.

There was just something about the process — turning raw ingredients into something useful, experimenting with scents, colors, and designs, and constantly learning with every batch. Even now, every loaf teaches me something new (especially color work 😅), but that’s honestly part of what makes it so fun.

Crazy to think one terrible batch of deer tallow soap turned into something I genuinely love doing. And thankfully… the soap is MUCH better now 😂
