Midvale actually captured the moment that the bolt snapped on Nicks car. You can see the rear of the car twitch and the car turn right towards the wall. Bad timing for that thing to break!

Unfortunately Mother Nature was the ultimate winner tonight. Thought we were going to dodge the weather , but half way through the features, rain let loose.

A real shame as the #00 car had some real speed that we have been needing tonight! In the heat race we would run the fastest time, and ultimately finish 2nd. The Klotz Synthetic Lubricants have this thing absolutely running at peak performance!!! Not bad for having only ran 12 total laps for the whole day/night.

We were able to dodge the weather and we are racing tonight! Off to a rough start as the 77car broke a suspension bolt on the2nd lap of practice. We scrambled and got it back together but unfortunately there is something bent causing a driveline vibration and will have to sit the night out.

Over the past few days, Nick and Josh have been battling it out across the USA vs some very capable cars. They have been very competitive running in the fastest run group each session, but unfortunately today while racing in Colorado at High Plains they suffered a powertrain / turbo issue that will ultimately end the racing for this week.

Still such a cool opportunity and event, and showcasing what good tires and good drivers can do!

We are switching it up this weekend for the race events. Nick and Josh will be traveling as they kickoff the one lap of America event piloting the Goodyear Porsche! We will post several updates throughout the week as the make there journey across America racing a new venue each day.

With the cold temps for Saturday, I am choosing to instead take the opportunity to race the now revived Mansfield speedway on Sunday in the #77 dirt Enduro car at their night of Destruction event. Having followed the track’s restoration journey over the past few month, excited for a chance to race at this beautiful facility, should be fast (and warmer).

Well we finally got to kick off the season tonight. We had decent cars off the trailer. Nick would qualify P3 and I would be in P5. With the invert that would put me starting on the pole.

For the heat race I would lead the 1st half of the race but have to settle for 2nd. We made a couple of minor tweaks for the feature, and I would start on the pole again, and was able to lead the first few laps, and Nick along with a couple of other cars were able to catch up. Ultimately after a few cautions, Nick would end up 2nd and I would end up 3rd with competitive times. We have a little more tweaking to do but not a bad start, and Klotz oils would sweep the podium having the top spots.

Well we pulled all the junk piled on top of the ole white lightening, fired her up and I think she is good to go! See if the weather holds out tomorrow to kick off our 2026 race season at the Midvale Night of Destruction!!!! LETS GO!!

As we finally start to see warmer days ahead, and with all the speed week action in full swing down south, its finally time to start thinking about our upcoming race season. Its been a weird off season this year with the status of our home track in limbo, and unfortunately it looks like we may have had our last race at Norton Raceway Park which is extremely disappointing both for the sport as a whole and the fact is was 10min down the road. I really feel this is one of those things people will miss more than they ever realized and hate to see it go.

After hearing the news, we were left wondering if there would be any asphalt legend racing at all in our area or if we would be running Enduros only, but just recently we have found out that we will be running a full season at Midvale Speedway. While Midvale is not as convenient for us, it is a fantastic facility that can put on some great legend car racing action, and you can watch the races live from Racing America TV which is a cool addition. Since everything was in limbo, not much work was done on the cars over the off season, so now we need to play a little catch up.

Over the offseason, both Nick and I did dip out toe in the water of Sim Racing (apparently we are late to this game) which has been a fun learning experience and is a great way to fill the racing void during the winter months and hopefully helps once we are back on the track as well.

With that being said, we are now looking forward to the start of the season and we also welcome any local businesses that would like to join our team for the year as we look to continue to promote the sport, the excitement, and getting local businesses in front of local fans!

We hope you continue to follow along this season as we go to battle for that top spot!

Race Weekend Recap:

Day 1 (saturday): Nick had a good car all day in practice. I would only get one practice round and not where I wanted to be. We would only be running a feature this evening which was a pill draw where Nick and I would start side by side in the 3rd row. The outside groove was extremely challenging, and my car was too tight. Nick on the inside was able to move forward in the pack, and put him in a position to challenge for the lead. Unfortunately while Nick was making a move for the lead, I would spin out to avoid a slowing car on the front stretch bringing out the caution meaning Nick would be stuck on the outside for the restart, and ultimately bring home a hard fought 3rd place finish but did turn the fast lap of the day.

Day 2 (sunday): Had perfect weather, only had 1 quick practice session, and my car was slightly better off the trailer than the previous day, but still not where I need/want to be pace wise, and drawing a high pill meant I would be starting at the tail. Was able to move up a few spots but a late race incident would mean I would ultimately have to settle for a 8th place finish. I was also doing double duty driving the enduro at the end of the race. Unfortunately the car count was low only have 4-5 cars, so the race was cut short to 50 laps. I started 4th and by lap 2 or 3 was in the lead and was checking out when around lap 30 the passenger CV joint had decided it had enough and lost all ability to go forward which was a disappointing finish given we had a very fast run going.

So that wraps out the regular racing season for us, which after the large amount of effort fixing enduro cars over the last 4-5 weeks, plus a full weekend of racing, I am exhausted and ready for a break.

This weekend we wrap up the race season with a busy weekend at Norton Raceway park with the Bill Lynn Memorial race.

Today Nick and I will have both legend cars on track for heat races and feature. Racing starts at 5pm.

Tomorrow I will be racing both the legend and the enduro car. Racing starts at 2.
