Last night we took the field vs State College of Florida. Thank you to Coach Brett, his staff, and his remarkable players for giving us this opportunity.
We played 10-innings over 2.5 hours of ball. We had two bad innings that really skewed the score. Overall, we played great, but had a number of mistakes that did cost us really bad, but we will work to correct them. We also had some really great plays including turning a douple play. We were just out powered on both sides and much younger. They had 6 pitchers and we only had two, so it made timing up the swing difficult. But both of our pitchers Jayde and Katie did well overall but we see how missing spots against big time hitters is costly.
Watching my 2028 HS players going up against many 2024-2025 recruited class players now soon to be college graduates was fun. Most of my players will be going into their senior year of HS. when most of SCF's players will be graduating college.
Seeing and playing against one my recent alumni graduates, Myah Purdy was so awesome. Myah, you did great kid and I am super proud of you.
To my alumni and their families that showed up to support us. I love you all...you had many things you could have been doing but you came out to support us. Even one from my 2022 class of commits. Thank you, Remi it was great to see you ❤️💙.
Next weekend we officially hit the field for the Michele Smith Showcase at Eddie C. Moore.
