Three generations of the Wurdeman family repped their Huskers gear while in town for the Oregon vs Nebraska football game a couple weeks ago. We're glad they had a good time fishing, because they probably didn't enjoy the trip home after the game 😂😜 Thanks for coming out, guys!

Our office is closed for the rest of today, 10/25, due to a major fire and ammonia leak at Pacific Seafoods across the bay from us. Our building is under evacuation orders, however, it appears the areas to the north of the bayfront are the worst affected. Please stay indoors if you are in Newport today, or if you must go outside it is advised to wear a mask or respirator. If we miss your call please leave us a voicemail and we will get back to you tomorrow.

🎣 This kid is a fish slayer for sure! Amon just turned 8 in July and got to go on his first halibut trip after several years getting his feet wet nearshore. That practice paid off and he reeled up his first halibut aboard the Crackerjack a few days ago. Way to be awesome, Amon! 👏🏻🙌🏻🏆

**SALMON UPDATE**
‼️ ODFW announced the Selective Coho season will close a few days early on Tuesday, Aug 18 based on quota estimates.

⏳ We have 3 opportunities left before this closure: Tomorrow (Fri) Salmon/Rockfish Combo, Sunday Half Day Salmon, Monday Half Day Salmon.

🗓️ The Non-Selective Coho season re-opens Sept 1, and this season is also based on quota and may not last beyond the first couple weeks of the month. If you haven't made your salmon reservations yet, you're running out of time!

Levi (6) and Noah (7) were some real rockfish killers yesterday and caught some nice sized Blackies. Rockfish and crabbing have been great this week and the Miss Raven has last minute availability tomorrow for a half day trip!
