We are just as confused as you!

Over the past week we have been inundated with questions about the upcoming implementation of several facets of House bill 4138 Act 19. This printout and quick flow chart are as close to a path as we can give you at this time.

We have talked with our local sheriff's department and the Detroit branch office of ATF and have yet to see a (Fi****ms Sales Record Form) Michigan form RI-010a they reference available on any .Gov website. We are also concerned about the wait period to obtain the FSR form when you go to your local sheriff department.

This throws so many different avenues of uncertainty towards gun shows, fund raisers, live auctions, raffles, and person to person sales.

We will keep you updated as we learn more about filed law suits, stays, and further explinations to the new process.

Great post from our buddy Tim Reilly in the mitten! In honor of tomorrow's opening day of Michigan's firearm deer season and the fact I'm currently reading "Some History of Michigan Hunting and Fishing and their Licenses" here are some interesting facts:

The first year for Michigan deer licenses was 1895 with 14,477 resident and 22 non-resident licenses issued.
November 15th first became opening day in 1929 and has been so annually since 1968.
Much of the Lower Peninsula was closed to deer hunting in the 1920's and 1930's
1977 was the first year firearm deer hunters were required to wear blaze orange.
