Happy Labor Day!!!!
people are asking what the 300 is well this is it everybody
As you can see, there is beginner, intermediate, and advanced. If you see an exercise, you can’t do. Don’t worry we have modifications.

I’m also gonna be doing it too, so let’s see who can make the 300 challenge

I’m in!!!!

🏋️‍♂️🧬 Did you know? Lifting weights may be one of the most powerful ways to fight the physical effects of aging because it doesn't just train your muscles—it gives your bones, brain, metabolism, and connective tissues a reason to keep adapting.

As we age, muscle mass and strength naturally decline, while bone density can decrease and everyday movements become more demanding. Resistance training directly challenges these systems, encouraging your body to maintain the tissues that keep you strong and independent.

For your muscles, lifting stimulates muscle-protein synthesis and helps preserve strength and lean mass. For your bones, mechanical loading signals bone-forming cells to maintain and remodel bone tissue.

The effects extend beyond the skeleton.

Resistance exercise also increases blood flow and produces molecules called myokines from contracting muscle. These signaling molecules can communicate with other tissues, including the brain, and are being studied for their role in metabolic and neurological health.

And then there's your skin. Muscle contractions and exercise can influence circulation and metabolic signaling, while maintaining muscle mass helps support the underlying structure and movement of the body. Research has even found that regular exercise can influence aspects of skin health and aging, although resistance training shouldn't be thought of as a standalone anti-wrinkle treatment.

The bigger picture is remarkable: muscle isn't just something you see in the mirror. It's metabolically active tissue that communicates with the rest of your body.

💡 Try this: Aim for resistance training 2–3 times per week, focusing on movements such as squats, hinges, presses, rows, and carries. Start at a level you can perform safely and gradually increase the challenge.

🏋️‍♂️ You aren't simply building muscle for today—you may be building the physical reserve your body can draw on decades from now.

If you could preserve just one thing as you age—strength, bone density, brain function, or mobility—which would you choose?

I have scaring on my greater trochanter and calcification. But because of stretch class and working mobility exercises I have gotten to this.
