Sunday 1969. Threesomes or foursomes only til 11:00 Only 5 riding carts for rent. People still too embarrassed to use them. Would sell over 100 glasses of "Blennd". Like if you remember that drink. Served in 12 oz plastic glasses that sometimes got washed. We would freak out if someone took the reusable glasses from the clubhouse. Would lose about a hundred a year. Would sell over 10 lbs of hamburgers and cheeseburgers at 5 patties to a pound. Bill Woods would open up his meat store if we ran out. 6 hour rounds today, remember, everyone is walking, some just about crawling. Would be 2 high school or college age girls running just the lunch counter. In the last 4 years, it would just be me running both sides of the shop.

Well here is what’s going on at the former Newark Valley Golf Club grounds. I have a contract to sell the clubhouse, near buildings and 20 acres to a very “interesting “ family. Newark Valley will never be the same.
