Supporting the Bobcats means supporting the whole person in body, mind, and spirit. 🐾💛
Trinity Yoga Wellness Center is grateful for our growing relationship with Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) and the opportunity to support its students, student-athletes, faculty, and staff. We loved being back on campus for Wellness Wednesday, connecting with the PHSC community and sharing in its commitment to wellness.
College life asks a lot of people. Students balance coursework, jobs, family responsibilities, and decisions about their future. Student-athletes add practices, competition, and travel to already busy schedules. And behind it all are the faculty and staff who pour their time, energy, and care into helping others succeed. Spending time with Eric and his staff, and getting to know the students quickly takes me back to my student-athlete days at VMI.
Through yoga, sound relaxation, and opportunities to pause and reconnect, we’re honored to complement PHSC’s existing wellness programs. Our goal is to help expand accessible, holistic wellness options across PHSC’s campuses—offering practices people can turn to during stressful moments, both on campus and beyond.
One of the tools we’re especially passionate about sharing is 9D Breathwork sound and immersive sound relaxation. When the mind is caught in the constant “monkey mind” of thoughts, deadlines, pressure, and worry, or the nervous system remains activated in a sympathetic fight-or-flight state, it can become harder to concentrate, process information, recover, and perform at our best. Intentional breath, meditation, and immersive sound experiences can help shift attention away from that mental noise and support the body’s movement toward a calmer, more regulated state. For students, athletes, faculty, and staff, that pause is about creating the internal conditions for focus, learning, recovery, resilience, and performance. The goal is simple: quiet some of the noise so the mind and body have more capacity for what matters next.
Thank you to PHSC’s Student Experience and Engagement team, wellness organizers, and Athletics for making space for the well-being of the people behind the schedules, classrooms, and teams.
A special thank-you to Shelly Bearden, Coordinator of Veteran Services, for her dedication to student veterans and the community she helps foster through Vet’s Cup. Sometimes support begins with a conversation, a cup of coffee, and knowing you belong. ☕🇺🇸
Thank you, PHSC, for welcoming us into this work. We’re grateful to be part of a community that cares for the whole person. 💛
