Tempt-Lure paintable decoys! At tempt-lure.com. Paint your own Temp-Lure spear decoy. After years of testing materials and weights I can confidently offer a superior decoy to sportsmen, artists and hobbyist that want to enjoy painting a spear decoy. Experience incredible swimming action that is very versatile with 4 eyelet settings and aluminum fins that can be slightly bent for an even wider range of swim action. This decoy on each eyelet setting allows for desired swimming action from the #1 eyelet which allows for fast twitch action. Down to the #4 eyelet for users that prefer a still/resting look with nose of the fish decoy down, mimicking a sitting bait-fish.
Each decoy is primed with marine grade, epoxy primer that will accept most paint systems. However, acrylic & water based paint systems will adhere best to the primer, as well as durability to water exposure. I recommend Golden, High-Flow Airbrush paint due to ease of use and versatility. Pre-made 7mm sized fish eyes fit best to the eye insets of the decoy. One small drop of any super-glue type adhesive will hold them on tenaciously . Eyes are can be found on E-bay as well as Amazon.
In addition, it is highly recommended that the final, dried paint coat & glued on eyes to be sealed for increased water resistance and U/V light protection. Recommended products being: acrylic spray sealer, water-based polyurethane. However, I personally recommend Spray-Max 2K Clear Coat, spray-cans which can be found on Amazon.
With all of this, Tempt-Lure is not responsible for what materials and painting methods are used on this spearing decoy. My philosophy is that, "You do, as you wish and have fun doing it." Now enjoy!
