We are sadly losing our beloved Aubrey to college and relocation at the end of this month which means I am beginning my search for another working student. Preference is given to someone who wishes to work off a lease/ride time or board.

Sunday morning feeding is the priority to fill, but Thursday day shifts will also be open OR weekday evening stall mucking (takes less than an hour).

Sunday feeding Includes:
-Resetting hay/water
-Soaking/dumping feed
-Bringing horses in
This is done with one other person and generally takes a little over an hour.

Thursday day shift includes:
-Assisting me with feeding/bringing in
-Groom duties as I work training horses
-Other general care duties as needed
This shift typically begins around 8AM and we are done by noon at the latest

Evening mucking includes:
-Picking stalls after horses go out
-Bedding as necessary (bagged sawdust)
-Dumping water buckets
Time varies depending on weather and who feeds in the evening, but it typically takes one person less than an hour. This is a M-F position.

Any candidate must be 18 or older and have ample horse experience. This is a training operation with young horses, a stallion, and horses of various training levels including feral/semi feral. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for more riding time, opportunities to show, and an educational environment. If interested, please message the page or Alyssa Dietrich.

Day 2 of our obstacle clinic brought a great and diverse group of horses!

Vast improvement for everyone who came out today!

Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend! Keep your eye out for more clinics through the summer. I am planning a pole work clinic and maneuvers clinic, but I am open to suggestions! What do you want to learn?

Day 1 of the obstacle clinic was a huge success! Everyone made amazing progress and had a ton of fun!

Busy, busy, busy day!

Four wagon loads of hay unloaded and stacked this morning in preparation for winter 💪

Then it was time to set up the obstacles for this weekend's clinic! We have some fun activities for everyone! There are still a couple spaces left for last minute participants! Saturday morning is FULL but all other sessions have a spot or two left.

Enjoy a little sneak peek of some of the obstacles 😉

Baby steps, but progress all the same ❤️‍🩹

"Edgar" has been here for several days now and is settling in nicely. He will take hay from my hands, but isn't quite ready to let me pet him.

We have started referring to him as "Edgar Allen Poe" as a joke and today we all had a good laugh when we found him talking to a friend!

It didn't take long for word to get out that my gentling pen is back up and operational 😂

Yesterday we welcomed this handsome mustang gelding in partnership with Days End Farm Horse Rescue. He is tall, he is calm, and he is absolutely stunning with a kind eye and perfect Roman nose. He will be available for adoption once his gentling process has been completed so make sure you have an application on file with Days End!

‼️ Still ISO ‼️

My client is still in search of a step up large pony or small horse for her 10yo daughter. This is what we are looking for and we will not stray from these parameters:

Age: between 8 and 15
Gender: unimportant, but must turn out with a mare
Breed: unimportant
Color: unimportant
Size: between 14.2 and 15.2hh

Safety is the top priority. We are not looking for a total deadhead, but mentally unstable horses with quirks that will give this poor mama a heart attack need not apply. Fancy buttons are not necessary, but a solid w/t/c and a soft mouth are. We are not looking for show quality or fancy broke. We are looking for sound, safe, and sane. Some maintenance considered so long as it is fully disclosed.
This horse or pony will want for nothing and will live an easy life on a private farm with an older pony mare and mini donkey. Candidates will need to trailer well since the daughter hauls out to weekly lessons. The daughter enjoys western 4H shows and all around riding. Horses with "potential to be kid safe" will not be considered. We are looking for proven kids mounts. This is a perfect job for something that has sadly been outgrown by a teenager, but isn't ready to retire!

Budget is mid 4s for the perfect horse or pony. We will not buy sight unseen so all applicants must be in York Co, Adams Co, Harford Co, Baltimore Co, or potentially Lancaster and Cecil Cos.

Thank you in advance!

Today we take time to remember all who returned home under a flag, or did not return home at all. We shall never forget the sacrifice made by the brave men and women of the United States military.

I love watching the transformation of thoroughbreds when they come off the track.

Postcode Envy (JC Ditch the Loot) is a 4yo OTTB mare that last raced in December. She came to me a little over a month ago and has already made drastic improvements in her body condition.

Keep your eye out for this mare! She is as sweet as candy and will be available in the next few weeks!
