As the Fairway Disc Golf Handicap Spring Travel League comes to an end, we just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out this season and supported what we’re building.
Huge appreciation to every player that traveled week after week, supported different courses, and helped make Sundays something to look forward to. Whether you made every stop or just came out once, you helped create a great atmosphere all spring long.
Special thanks to the local players at every course who showed up, competed, gave advice, helped newer players, and represented their home layouts the right way. That local knowledge, hospitality, and community spirit is what makes travel leagues so much fun.
We had the opportunity to throw at places like Creekside, Glenburnie, Beaufort County Community College, Emerald Isle, Covenant, Ayden, Lancer, Eagles Apex,Joel Smith, FarmVille, The Patriot at Stoney Park, Richlands, and our final championship at Maysville. Every course brought its own challenge and personality. Spring really is the perfect time for a travel league — good weather, good people, and great disc golf.
We hope this is something we can continue and grow even bigger next year. The goal has always been simple:Grow the local scene, encourage players to travel, meet new people, and make competitive disc golf welcoming for everyone.
To the first-time league players — thank you for taking the chance. To the seasoned players — thank you for helping lead the way.To everybody chasing ratings, cashes, birdies, aces, or just a good Sunday round with friends — we appreciate you all.
Keep supporting your local courses.Keep bringing new players out.Keep throwing plastic.
We’ve got more coming soon, and we hope to see even more of you out there next season. Until then…
