Exciting News for the Future of the WTA!

The Wisconsin Trapshooting Association is excited to announce that we have secured funding to add four additional trap fields to our facility!

This expansion is another major step forward as we continue to grow and meet the needs of the thousands of shooters, families, and spectators who visit the WTA each year. The additional fields will help us better accommodate our events and provide even more opportunities for shooters.

Our goal is to have all four new trap fields completed and ready for the 2027 shooting season.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone whose support has helped make this project possible. We look forward to sharing updates as construction progresses and are excited about what this expansion means for the future of the WTA.

The WTA would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved with the Wisconsin State High School Clay Target League State Tournament for a fantastic weekend!

Over the course of the weekend, we welcomed 2,076 student athletes and more than 8,000 people to our facility. It was incredible to see so many young shooters, families, coaches, and supporters come together to celebrate the shooting sports.

Events of this size are only possible because of the dedication and hard work of so many people. We would like to thank all of the staff, volunteers, vendors, coaches, and supporters who helped make the tournament a success. Your time, effort, and commitment are greatly appreciated. A special shoutout to the Shullsburg Miners Trap Team and Melrose-Mindoro High School Trap League for helping us fill all 30 traps at the end of a very long day!

Thank you for making this such a memorable weekend, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back again in the future!

‼️REMINDER ‼️ With our recent improvements to the home grounds we have increased the number of underground utilities, mainly located between our UTV pavers path and the concrete sidewalk. Because of this we are BANNING any tent stakes or any other ground protrusions in this area. If you are planning to use a tent in that area please use sand bags or other means to hold your tents down. Thank you for your cooperation in this and helping maintain our grounds! We look forward to having a great year!

Things are looking bright at the WTA Homegrounds! After a couple long days and late nights this past weekend the Lighted Trap Field expansion is done! We have upgraded from 3 lighted fields up to 7! Thank you to all the volunteers who worked to get this job done! Thank you to Visit Rome, Wisconsin, the Friends of the WTA, and Wisconsin Lighting Lab, Inc. for making this possible for us!
