3.1 miles. That’s the whole workout today. 🏃
Swipe to photo two. Those are some of our 8:30 ladies. The same crew that will (generally) tell you they aren’t fans of running. And there they are. Smiling. Done. Accomplished 💚
We don’t program a 5K to turn anyone into a runner. We do it because fitness runs on 3 energy systems, and the long aerobic one only shows up when an effort stretches past a few minutes. You can have a killer “Fran” time and ultimately still get humbled at mile 2 — so twice a year, we test it honestly.
And it’s worth testing. Your aerobic capacity is one of the #1 predictors of how long and how well you live. A 5K is just a free, no-equipment check-in on that.
Here’s the part we want to emphasize: every single person who shows up today scales it to fit them. Shorter distance, run-walk intervals, a pace that made sense for their body. Showing up and scaling smart beats sitting it out every time.
So no, you don’t have to love running. Or even want to be a “runner”. You just have to show up. It’s especially important on the mornings where it’d be easier not to.
