My fitness background before joining Hybrid House includes 22 years of competitive gymnastics and all-star cheerleading. After that chapter, I stayed active through HIIT classes and personal strength training at local gyms.
Within the last year, I wanted to challenge myself in a new way and get more involved in running. A group of friends and I started , and through community workouts and local collaborations, I eventually discovered Hybrid House Training.
One of my current goals is to compete in a HYROX and HHT has become the perfect place to develop both the physical skills and mental toughness needed to get there. The combination of strength and endurance training has pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped me grow as an athlete.
My favorite sessions are the Wednesday Hybrid Hustle and Saturday Hyrox Performance workouts. These workouts are designed around race-specific movements and combine functional strength training with compromised running, creating the perfect environment to prepare for hybrid racing.
Every time I walk into Hybrid House, I’m motivated to be better than I was the day before. When you’re surrounded by driven, hardworking athletes, it becomes natural to push yourself and rise to a higher standard. What I love most is that HHT is a place to learn and improve, not a place to feel intimidated.
For anyone just starting their fitness journey, my advice is simple: track the small victories and celebrate incremental progress. Consistency beats perfection every time. Remember, the only bad workout is the one you didn’t do at all.
