⚡ INTRODUCING FORCE SOFTBALL! ⚡

This isn't just the beginning of a new softball team. It's the beginning of something much bigger.

Over the years, we've had the opportunity to work with talented athletes, build relationships with families, and see firsthand what young players are capable of when they're given the right environment, resources, and opportunities.

Now it's time to take that experience, those relationships, and everything we've learned and build something with a bigger purpose.

Welcome to FORCE Softball.

We're not starting from scratch. We're building on a foundation of experience, player development, relationships, and a genuine passion for helping young athletes reach their potential.

Our vision goes beyond one team, one age group, or one season.

We want to build a program where:

🥎 Development comes first. Winning matters, but developing confident, skilled, intelligent softball players matters even more.

💪 Everything is earned. Playing time, positions, and opportunities are earned through effort, attitude, accountability, and performance.

🔥 Competition makes us better. We want athletes who embrace challenges, push their teammates, and aren't afraid to compete.

❤️ Players and families matter. We believe in honest communication, strong relationships, and creating an environment where athletes can grow both on and off the field.

⚡ The standard never changes. Regardless of age group, team, or level of competition, our expectations for effort, character, and commitment will remain the same.

Our goal isn't simply to put together a talented roster. It's to build a program that talented, hardworking athletes want to be part of.

We're thinking beyond the next tournament, the next trophy, or the next season. We're thinking about the opportunities we can create, the players we can develop, and the foundation we can establish for years to come.

We're excited about the athletes and families who will help us take these first steps. Every great program starts somewhere, and we're ready to put in the work to build this one the right way.

This is only the beginning.

Mental safety in youth sports matters.

Especially when we are coaching young girls.

Kids need to trust the adults leading them. They need to know they can compete hard, make mistakes, fail, learn, and come back tomorrow without being humiliated for it.

And as coaches, that requires something from us:

Check your ego at the gate.

Youth sports are not about proving how good we are as coaches.

A kid making an error isn't a reflection of our worth.

A strikeout isn't a personal insult.

And a loss isn't permission to unload our frustration onto a group of kids.

Our emotions are ours to manage.

There is absolutely a place for accountability. Correct mistakes. Demand effort. Set high expectations. Teach discipline. Challenge kids to become better teammates and better competitors.

But accountability is not humiliation.

Belittling kids doesn't make them tougher.

Fear doesn't create confidence.

Blame doesn't teach responsibility.

And tearing an athlete down because we are disappointed with an outcome isn't coaching. It's an adult failing to manage their own emotions.

The outcome of that kind of environment is predictable.

Kids begin playing scared. They hesitate. They second-guess themselves. They become more concerned with avoiding the coach's reaction than making the next play.

That's not how you develop confident athletes.

We should be creating players who aren't afraid to fail because they know failure is where some of their greatest growth will happen.

Demand excellence without demanding perfection.

Correct them without humiliating them.

Challenge them without crushing their confidence.

Hold them accountable without making them responsible for an adult's emotions.

And when the game is over, remember who is supposed to be the grown-up.

Check the ego. Coach the player. Teach the game. Protect the kid.

Because long after they forget the wins and losses, they'll remember what it felt like to play for you.

We have to do better.

THE PLAYER COMES FIRST. PERIOD. 🥎

At Impact Softball Development, we believe winning matters. Competing matters. Development matters.

But none of it matters more than THE PLAYER.

Travel softball should never be about collecting trophies, chasing social media likes, or building a coach’s or organization’s reputation at the expense of a player’s future.

And it should never be about making a young athlete feel like she is ungrateful, unwanted, or somehow less of a person or player because she chooses an opportunity that is better for her development and her future.

This game should be about helping young athletes climb the ladder.

That means developing their game. Challenging them against better competition. Getting them in the right environments. Helping them gain meaningful exposure. Advocating for them. And when the time comes, helping them find the level and opportunity that is right for THEM.

Sometimes that opportunity may even take a player beyond us.

It was never the goal to keep you here. The goal was always to help you get where you want to go.

If we develop a player to the point that she is ready for a bigger opportunity, a higher level of competition, or simply a better situation for her future, then we’ve done our job.

That isn't losing a player.

That's developing one.

There will come a point near the top of that ladder when commitment to a team and program becomes incredibly important. But while you're climbing, you have to keep climbing.

Real player development isn’t about keeping an athlete where she benefits the organization most. It’s about helping her become good enough to reach the places she wants to go.

We want our players to dream bigger. Compete higher. Chase opportunities. Bet on themselves.

And if we can help open a door, provide honest guidance, prepare a player for her next opportunity, or simply tell her when it’s time to take the next step, we’re going to do it.

At Impact, our responsibility is bigger than wins and losses.

The player comes first.

We will develop you.
We will challenge you.
We will advocate for you.
We will be honest with you.
And when you're ready for the next step, we'll be proud to watch you take it.

🥎 **SOFTBALL DEFENSIVE ACADEMY — INTEREST CHECK** 🥎

We’re considering starting a weekly **Softball Defensive Academy for players ages 12 and older** and want to see how much interest there is before officially committing to it.

The goal is simple: give players an **affordable, consistent opportunity to get more defensive reps and build strong fundamentals** outside of regular team practices.

🥎 **Ages 12+**
🥎 **1-hour session once a week**
🥎 **$10 per player/session**
🥎 **Focused on defensive fundamentals**
🥎 **Small-group training environment**
🥎 Academy launches once we have **at least 5 interested players**

# # # WHY AN ACADEMY?

Defensive skills are built through **repetition and consistency**. One practice or lesson can teach a skill, but getting quality reps week after week is what helps players become more confident and comfortable on the field.

We would work on things like:

🥎 Glove work and fielding fundamentals
🥎 Footwork and body positioning
🥎 Throwing mechanics and accuracy
🥎 Receiving and catching
🥎 Position-specific defensive skills
🥎 Faster, cleaner transitions
🥎 Communication and game-like situations

# # # WHY TRAIN IN A GROUP?

One of the biggest advantages is having **other players to train with**.

Players have partners to play catch with, work on receiving and throwing, practice feeds and exchanges, communicate through defensive situations, and get reps that are difficult to recreate when training alone.

The group setting also creates **energy, accountability, and healthy competition**. Players can challenge each other, learn by watching each other, and develop alongside players who are working toward the same goal.

And because the group would remain relatively small, players can still receive **individual instruction and corrections** while getting significantly more live, interactive reps.

The goal isn’t to replace team practice or private lessons. It’s to give players who want to improve an opportunity to **put in a little extra work every week, get more quality reps, and become more confident and fundamentally sound defensive players.**

Youth softball in Arkansas has become so watered down that real competition is getting harder to find. It seems like every weekend there's another new team promising families the world just to fill a roster. Instead of players being challenged to improve, too often they leave the moment they hear they'll have to earn playing time or work on their weaknesses. Then someone starts another team, often with little coaching experience, just to keep everyone happy.

Development isn't supposed to be comfortable all the time. The best coaches tell players what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear. There's nothing wrong with recreational or developmental teams, but pretending every team is elite doesn't help the players. Kids grow the most when they're challenged, held accountable, and taught the game the right way.
