Our TEAM SEA high school boys competed in WIAA Sectionals yesterday and many are headed to WIAA State next weekend.

Our State has two divisions, Division 1 and Division 2 (divisions are mostly divided by the size of school).

Conference Champs Highlights and Recap
Great meet last weekend in Lake Geneva. TEAM SEA won Conference Champs scoring 1,189.50-points, posted 59% best times (76 of 129 splashes) and five DQs (three Butterfly and one each for Breaststroke and a relay event). Way to go!
New USA State qualifying times were achieved by Sophie Gutknecht 13-14 50 Breaststroke 34.00, Ellie Staniger 11-12 200 Butterfly 2:40.86, 200 Backstroke 2:35.90, Bria Widmar 9-10 50 Backstroke 38.98, and Vivi Yanke 13-14 50 Butterfly 28.81.
New YMCA qualifying times were notched by Allie Balk 8-year-old 50 Backstroke 47.20, Aviana Gelden 9-year-old 50 Backstroke 43.84, 50 Freestyle 36.40, Julissa Gonzalez 7&U 50 Breaststroke 1:04.24, 50 Butterfly 1:01.05, Bria Widmar 10-year-old 50 Backstroke 38.98, and Rosalie Zinnen 7&U 50 Backstroke 51.41, 25 Backstroke 23.62, 25 Freestyle 24.76.

We had a great Swim for a Cause event yesterday. The 31 swimmers who participated (ages 7-15) swam a combined 62-miles in the hour! We were able to donate $3,239.91 to Safe Families for Children (Racine & Kenosha)!! Thank you to all the families who took part, to the moms and dads who helped count laps, to our coaching staff for attending, and to the Racine Aquatic Center for allowing us to host this event in their pool. Today is our Swim for a Cause event! Our swimmers will swim for a hour to raise funds for Safe Families for Children Wisconsin. There will be exercise, team dinner, a fun raffle, and support for one of Southeastern Wisconsin's non-profits. We hope to SEA you there!

YMCA Finalist Highlights & Recap
We had a great showing in Brown Deer last weekend. As a team, we finished second of 14 teams with 633.50-points, 52% best times (145 of 279 swims), relays looked strong, and only eight DQs (three each for Breaststroke and IM and one each for Butterfly and Backstroke).
New Single Age State qualifying times were achieved by Summer Gustafson-Binger 11 50 Freestyle 30.95, Tovi Papillon 11 100 Breaststroke 1:34.29, and Rhemy Thompkins 12 50 Freestyle 28.75, 100 Breaststroke 1:22.41.

OZ Fall Classic Recap & Highlights
Our first meet of the season is under our belts and as usual, our age-groupers picked up where they left off last season and our senior athletes produced a handful of best times and solid opening efforts to their races. As a team, we finished with 58% best times (92 of 158 splashes) and only two DQs (one each for Breaststroke and IM).
New State qualifying times were posted by Asher Genduso (Single Age State for 100 Butterfly 1:25.32, 50 Freestyle 31.45, 100 IM 1:19.09 and YMCA State in the 50 Freestyle, 100 IM), Matilda Gutjahr (USA State 100 Freestyle 1:13.37, 50 Backstroke 37.30), Ellie Staniger (Single Age State 100 Backstroke 1:16.91, 100 Freestyle 1:06.36, 100 Butterfly 1:17.86, 50 Freestyle 30.34 and YMCA State 100 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly), and Kaylee Staniger (YMCA State 200 Breaststroke 2:46.20).
