Mahāśivarātri — The Night of Great Stillness
February 15–16, 2026

A return to silence.

Śiva represents pure awareness—consciousness without agitation. Mahāśivarātri is a ritualized opportunity to experience that state directly rather than conceptually.

Mahāśivarātri celebrates Śiva's marriage to Pārvatī, which represents the union of consciousness (Śiva) and energy (Śakti). ŚIva's appearance as Naṭarāja, and the performance of the Cosmic dance of creation and destruction (Tāṇḍava). And finally, ŚIva's consumption of the halāhala poison during the churning of the ocean, and absorbtion of toxicity to preserve existence.

And now, awareness turns inward. Tonight we allow the mind to slow, the body to soften and the breath to become the altar.

Mahāśivarātri invites a single discipline: remain awake.
⚪️ Awake to thought.
⚪️ Awake to impulse.
⚪️ Awake to the still point beneath identity.

Allow patterns to dissolve in the stillness.
Allow clarity to sharpen in the darkness.
Allow transformation to begin in the pause.

Tonight, you may choose to fast, meditate or sit in silence.

Tonight - meet yourself without distraction.
