Let’s talk meditation...


Life gets so busy sometimes. Everyday tasks and responsibilities build. The clock ticks by and schedules get filled. Before you know it, you’ve lost you in the hustle and bustle. I’ve done this over and over and over again.


It is critical to slow down! To find a time to breathe. To think. To release. To be still.


My time is by the ocean or on a walk or being still in a chair. I haven’t always been good at it. S**t, I’m still not good at it. But I know it’s important. I know I feel better when I slow down. •

Be intentional. Be free and find a space to be yourself. To honor what is in your mind. To process and reflect. •

Enjoy the short ride we have on this beautiful planet. Breathe it all in. Absorb the glory and be the best you, you can ever be.

The Spine.

The spine is the center of communication between the brain and body and represents one of the most intricate and fragile structures in nature. (fineartamerica.com) In art, the spine portrays movement in the body.


In life, the spine provides structural support and balance, protects the spinal cord, nerve roots and several internal organs, and enables flexible motion. (igeaneuro.com)


In yoga, we use movement to encourage a healthy spine. Through asana, we can strengthen the muscles through concentration and the patient hold of postures. The stretching and relaxation that occurs through practice can reduce tension in stress-carrying muscles. Consistent practice that focuses on proper body alignment can improve posture, and balance. And finally, yoga allows one to be more fully connected to their body, increasing ones understanding of their abilities and limitations. (spine-health.com)


While mesmerizing, no one wants to be a statue. Put that beautiful spine to work and move that body!

There is not much “right” going on with these pics. My back is not aligned, my legs are not straight, my arm looks like it was thrown up there and I’m not looking in the direction I should.
..but I was happy. I was happy because I knew that I was giving it all I had at that time.

The waves kept coming in and the ground kept giving out. Nothing in the environment was going to stop long enough for me to get it “right.” I had no other choice than to do what I could with what I had in that moment.

From a recovering addict of “get it right”, trust me when I say that the best you have really is good enough. Your body, your mind and your soul will thank you. Embrace the moments, trust yourself and the rest will come.
