🍂 Well, it appears fall has officially arrived in high gear! 🍂

The tops of the trees are starting to turn, the temperatures are definitely reminding us that summer is on its way out, and before we know it, we’ll be wondering where the golf season went!

First, we want to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our annual meeting this past Sunday. We appreciate everyone who took the time to attend and have a voice in the future of Sunset Golf Club.

We had three board positions up for election, with two returning members and one new member being elected for the next three years.

👏 Congratulations to Mavrick, Lou, and James! We look forward to having you on the board and continuing to make Sunset Golf Club better for everyone.

And a big thank you to Sonia and Todd for running and for showing an interest in helping make our golf course and club better. We truly appreciate anyone willing to step up and get involved!

Now… onto what we ALL really want to see. 😏

👑 THE QUEEN OF CLUBS DRAWING 👑

We completely forgot to do Thursday’s drawing. 🤦‍♂️

Between working way too many hours, the days starting to blend together, and apparently our brains deciding to take a little vacation… well, we just plain forgot. 😂

So, we carried everyone’s tickets AND the cash over to tonight’s drawing.

All the tickets went into the bin.

We mixed them up.

And then we reached down deep…

Really deep.

After a little digging around, we finally pulled out a name…

🎟️ JIM P.!

Jim had the chance to pick his card.

He decided to flip #38.

Now, this is where things got interesting…

We knew there was a Queen hiding somewhere in that deck.

Could this finally be the night someone found her? 👑

The card was turned over…

And…

…

…

🃏 THE ACE OF CLUBS. ♣️

NOT THE QUEEN.

😳😳😳

She’s still hiding.

And that means the $826 jackpot rolls over to this Thursday! 💰💰💰

The Queen is getting harder and harder to find… but somebody is going to turn over the right card eventually.

Get your tickets, come out to the course, play a round (or a few 😉), grab a drink, and take your shot at finding her!

Just a reminder that tomorrow(Sunday September 20th) is Sunset’s annual meeting at 10AM at the clubhouse. We will be voting on 3 spots on the board, giving updates on the outside and inside of the course and clubhouse and the financials of the course. Bring your questions, comments, concerns, ideas, or whatever else you may have.

Well… the Queen of Clubs is really starting to get a little too comfortable hiding from us! 👑♣️

Tonight’s pot climbed to a BIG $790, and we drew Jen to take her shot at finding the Queen!

Jen chose Card #2… and when that card was flipped…

♦️ ACE OF DIAMONDS! ♦️

NO QUEEN! 😩

So the stubborn Queen of Clubs lives to hide another day, and the pot rolls on!

We’re now at $790 and getting closer and closer to that big payoff. The Queen may be hiding, but she can’t hide forever!

Come get your tickets, get some golf in, and maybe YOU’LL be the one to finally track her down. 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, the memories of September 11, 2001 remain.

We remember the 2,977 innocent lives taken that day. We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military members, and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger while others were running away. We remember the passengers of Flight 93 who fought back. And we remember the families who, 25 years later, still carry a loss that can never truly be measured.

But we also remember what happened in the days that followed.

Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers stood together. Flags appeared on homes, businesses, cars, and streets across America. For a brief time, it seemed the things that divided us mattered far less than the things that united us.

We ask that you take a moment to pause, remember, and reflect.

Remember those who never made it home.
Remember those who ran toward the fire.
Remember the families who still feel that empty chair at the table.
And remember the unity, courage, compassion, and patriotism that followed.

25 years later, we remember.
We honor.
We will never forget. 🇺🇸

The sun may be setting a little earlier, but the hunt for the Queen of Clubs is still going strong! 🌅👑♣️

Another beautiful night here at the course, and that means it was time for our second drawing of the week as we try to finally find that stubborn Queen!

We had our biggest jump in the pot of the year, bringing it all the way up to $775!! 💰🔥

And with that, Mike T. was drawn and chose card #6 — my lucky number! 🍀 Unfortunately, luck was not with Mike tonight as the 10 of Hearts gets flipped. ❤️🃏

So the $775 pot rolls over to next Monday!

Get some golf in, get those tickets, and keep the hunt going! The shadows are growing longer earlier, so don’t wait too long to get out here! ⛳️🌄

Will next Monday finally be the night we find that Queen?! 👑♣️
