Match play season is here. 🏆

The 2026 Vandal Classic Match Play Championship is officially open for qualifying.

Here is how it works:

Play on Your Schedule: Book your own tee time and turn in your attested 18-hole qualifying scorecard anytime between now and Sunday, September 13.

Two Divisions: Championship Gross (scratch) and Net (80% course handicap off the low ball).

Flexible Bracket Play: Once seeded, you have a full 7-day window each week (Wed–Tues) to coordinate and play your match.

Entry: $50 (covers tournament entry and purse payout; pay at check-in).

Register online in advance through Golf Genius so the golf shop can pre-print your official dots and scorecard.

If you’ve been wanting to get into golf, improve your skills, or just get more comfortable on the course, this is a great place to start!

Classes are available for ladies, co-ed golfers, and juniors of all skill levels. Instruction is led by Golf Digest Best in State Coach & Operation 36 Master Coach Michael Wagner, PGA.

PARKING UPDATE

Our main parking lot is temporarily closed for construction through approximately September 1.

If you’re visiting the Vandal Golf Course, please plan to arrive 20–30 minutes before your tee time to allow extra time for parking, check-in, shuttling, and walking to the course.

WHERE TO PARK:
• Lot 83 (Nez Perce): Walking golfers only
• Lot 84 (Perimeter Drive): Primary parking for cart riders
• Lot 34W: Overflow parking at the Kibbie Dome + all vehicles with trailers

Need a shuttle? Call 208-885-6171 when you arrive with your parking location and vehicle information.

If you’re able to walk, please do! This helps us keep shuttle wait times down for those who need assistance.

The PNGA Junior Championship is coming to the Vandal Golf Course August 10–14, and we are looking for volunteers to help help support the players throughout the week.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:
- Monitoring pace of play
- Spotting golf balls
- Helping on the range

No golf experience is required.

Volunteers receive:
- Free lunch every shift
- A front-row seat to some of the Northwest’s best junior golfers
- Free PNGA hat

July at the Vandal Golf Course ⛳️

Our month was jam-packed with tournaments, themed Women’s League events, competitive Men’s League rounds, clinics, group outings, and plenty of sunny days.

Here’s a look back at some of our favorite moments from the month.

Thanks to everyone who joined us this month. There’s still plenty of summer golf ahead and we hope to see you out here soon!

Last week we welcomed nearly 40 junior golfers to our Swing into Summer Golf Camp!

Over the three days our campers worked hard on improving their skills in each part of their game, from putting and short game to irons, woods, and drivers. We played games and challenges, learned new techniques, and had lots of friendly competition. We wrapped up our final day of camp by taking them onto the golf course to put everything they learned to the test.

A big thank you to all of our campers and families for making this year such a success. We love seeing so many young golfers excited to learn the game and we can’t wait to do it again next summer!
