The dummies, trying to make heads or tails (or hands, feet, arms and legs) of what goes where, have really gotten themselves into a conundrum. They've even pulled out an anatomy flashcard for help! Do you think they'll be able to piece together these parts and make a functioning dummy? Will the green dummy get his foot back? What are the screws for?! We have so many unanswered questions! What do you think will happen?

The first week of the new quarter means a switch to a new Samurai weapon, and this quarter we will be learning bo staff. The Bo staff is one of the oldest and most practical weapons in traditional karate. Originally an everyday farming tool, it was adapted into a weapon for effective self-defense, and was used on the battlefield against samurai. The bo staff's simple design allowed it to be used for striking, thrusting, blocking, sweeping, and controlling an opponent at a safe distance.

Promotion testing tonight!
So proud of our newest students stepping up for their first belt test. They put in the work, found the courage to get out on the mat, and showed up ready.
While some people stay on the couch, these white belts are lapping them.

On Wednesday we made our annual delivery of coffee and breakfast to teachers across Moscow.
As the staff meetings got underway, our team showed up with fresh coffee and breakfast to help kick off the new year.
