On Friday, June 19, we will honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a time for reflection, education, and celebration of Black history, culture, and resilience.

In recognition of Juneteenth, Montgomery Whitewater has made a donation to Diversify Whitewater through their fiscal sponsor, American Whitewater. Diversify Whitewater is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in paddle sports by helping remove barriers to participation. We are proud to support their mission of creating more welcoming and accessible outdoor spaces for all.

While Montgomery Whitewater will be open on June 19th, we encourage our guests to take time to learn about the significance of Juneteenth and to participate in events happening throughout the community.
