Final Recap of 2026 PCM Track & Field....and what a season it was!

Seniors: we cannot thank you enough for your guidance, leadership, and work ethic from Day 1. What this group has gone through and overcome since your freshman year is something no one should have to face. But instead of folding, you stuck together. Where many people didn't believe, you formed a vision. Your determination, your grit, your unselfishness and your willingness to do whatever it takes to help this team succeed are what we will remember most about you seniors. You didn't just lead this team—you completely shifted the culture and built a legacy where nobody thought it was possible. Seniors, THANK YOU for showing everyone what it truly means to be a Mustang!

Results from the State Meet last week and it was a good one!

Last Thursday-Saturday, we took 13 events and 34 athletes down to Drake for the 2A State Meet to represent PCM! We left with 4 event medals, 7 New Additions to the PCM Top 10 All Time List, and tons of season bests! The kids attacked every event and left everything they had every time they stepped onto the blue oval or on the discus rink. From the gritty performances, to the unselfish performances to the bonds formed between the boys & girls this group is special and is something we will remember forever about this group. Tons of class and heart shown by our kids and us coaches are crazy proud of how they represented PCM to the fullest!

Thursday:
*Brenden LaHart - finished 24th in the 3200m Run
*Katelynn F**g - finished 23rd in Long Jump
*Girls 4x800 - Abi Teeter, Bailey Wheeler, Ali Hilsabeck and Lila Milani finished 13th and is now 2nd All Time at PCM
*Coby DeRaad - finished 3rd in the 400m Dash and is now 2nd All Time at PCM

Friday:
*Boys Distance Medley - Wyatt Heater, Joey Ferneding, Coby DeRaad, Kash Fischer finished 5th and set a new SCHOOL RECORD!
*Alex Wendt - finished 10th in Discus
*Girls 4x200 - Lexi F**g, Ryan DeVore, Katelynn F**g and Jorja Teeter finished 18th
*Boys 4x200 - Wyatt Heater, Dane Fraker, Ivan Shannon, Joey Ferneding finished 17th and is now 8th All Time at PCM
*Jorja Teeter - finished 10th in the 400m Hurdles and is now 4th All Time at PCM
*Girls 4x400 - Lexi F**g, Katelynn F**g, Lila Milani and Jorja Teeter finished 17th
*Boys 4x400 - Dane Fraker, Kash Fischer, Joey Ferneding and Coby DeRaad qualified for the finals as the 8th seed and is now 3rd All Time at PCM

Saturday:
*Boys Sprint Medley - Jaden Houser, Joey Ferneding, Wyatt Heater, Coby DeRaad finished 4th and is now 2nd All Time at PCM
*Lila Milani - finished 24th in the 800m Run
*Kash Fischer - finished 16th in the 800m Run
*Abi Teeter - finished 16th in the 1500m Run
*Kash Fischer - finished 19th in 1600m Run
*Boys 4x400 - Dane Fraker, Kash Fischer, Joey Ferneding and Coby DeRaad finished 8th

🚨 SCHOOL RECORD ALERT! 🚨

Congratulations to Wyatt Heater, Joey Ferneding, Coby DeRaad and Kash Fischer on setting a new school record in the 1600m Distance Medley Relay last Friday at the Iowa High School 2A State Meet at Drake Stadium with a time of 3:34.15! This breaks our school record that was set last season by Adrien Robbins, Tad Wilson, Coby DeRaad & Kash Fischer at 3:34.30.

Results from the last week!

Monday, the Boys and Girls went to Pella for a close low key meet with great competition. The Boys finished Tied for 3rd and the Girls finished Tied for 5th. Kids took advantage of a beautiful night and gained some season bests, personal records and entries in to the PCM Top 10 List!

Thursday was a night to remember for a very long time. The Boys and Girls travel to Eddyville for the State Qualifying and man did the Boys and Girls lay everything on the line and attack the meet. The Boys and Girls finished 2nd overall as a team! The Boys are sending 9 events to state (4 Relays & 5 Individual Events) and the Girls are sending 7 events to state (3 Relays and 4 Individual Events)! The kids didn't flinch and battled all night long through various of obstacles that were out of our control, but they attacked every event with everything they had! There were tons of season bests, personal records and new additions to the PCM Top 10 List of All Time! Us coaches couldn't be prouder of how our kids handled themselves all night long! The crowd was electric all night long...THANK YOU!!
