OSTA Playground & Pickleball Update

We are getting so close to being ready & we understand that everyone is EXCITED! woo! hoo!

There is going to be a lot of activity over the next couple of weeks (pending weather of course). We are asking for everyone to not enter the construction zone area. Green panel fencing has been installed in the parking lot with construction zone signage, just past the covered pavilion. There is not fencing on the grass but we ask that you respect and follow the same fencing line as the parking lot across the grass as the construction zone.

Please observe progress using the pavilion as a safe reference point.

We look forward to seeing everyone playing a game of pickleball or sliding down your new slides soon!

Fourth of July Fireworks Planned for Tomorrow Night

With personal fireworks banned across Moab and Grand County (and up to a $10,000 fine), the professional display is still planned, with safety precautions prioritized.

The operator has surveyed the site, staged water trucks, and assembled an experienced crew. The launch area is a low-risk spot with no dry grasses nearby. The show is expected to begin between 9:30 and 9:45 PM, depending on wind conditions. If conditions aren’t right at showtime, the Fire Chief will have the final call, and the scale of the display will be adjusted to match the safety conditions on the ground.

For up-to-the-minute updates before the show, tune in to KCYN. If anything changes because of wind or weather, you’ll hear it there.

However the night unfolds, know that every decision is being made to protect our community, our crews, and the region we all love. Happy 250th! 🇺🇸
