This afternoon, 15 Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes boarded their bus to La Crosse, WI to compete in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Track and Field State Championship. These competitors represent 5 different conference schools: Rufus King, Reagan, Riverside, Bradley Tech, and Hamilton.

Congratulations to our Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week, track and field Conference Champions Lanee Johnson (Rufus King) and Duane Thornton (Riverside) 🏆🔥👟

Johnson put up multiple winning performances for the Conference Champion Rufus King girls, finishing in first place in the 100M dash, 200M dash, and 4 x 100M relay. Thornton finished in first place in the 110M hurdles, 300M hurdles, and 4 x 400M relay, leading the Riverside/Golda Meir boys to a Conference Championship, as well.
