This is why I do what I do:
"I joined Salus in February last year with the goal of getting as fit as possible. A couple months into training I overhead some members talking about how nutrition with Angela was improving their performance. Shortly after I booked a free consultation which further lead to weekly programming for the next 6 months. Nutrition was never a strong point for me, but I knew it was something I’d have to work on if I wanted to be a competitor.

Here is the progression I made in 6 months:

-Pre nutrition : 173lbs, 10.85% body fat, 154 lbs lean body mass
-3 months in : 169lbs, 8.93% body fat, 154lbs lean body mass
-5 months in : 172.2lbs, 8.09% body fat, 158lbs lean body mass
-6 months in : 174.6lbs, 7.78% body fat, 161 lbs lean body mass

*6 month result: scale increased 1.6 pounds. BUT! I added +7 lbs of muscle and that's down over 3% body fat (-5.4 # total body fat GONE!)

Honestly, before joining Salus I had my doubts and questioned how CrossFit athletes were so strong and looked so good. Half a year later my doubts have been silenced.

The combination of CrossFit and nutrition has without a doubt given me the best results in my 9 years of training. Looking forward to seeing how much progress I could make in the next 10 years w/ the Salus team behind me."

A reminder that successful nutrition doesn't mean completely avoiding your favorite foods. When everything is "off limits," it often becomes all you can think about.

The goal is building habits that support your goals while still leaving room for the foods and experiences you enjoy...in moderation of course.

Super proud of the progress Donnie has made over the last 6 weeks!

He's down over 4% body fat, feeling stronger, seeing improvements in his lifts and workouts, and doing it all while eating MORE food and fueling more strategically.

Self-sabotage isn’t you being “bad.”
It’s you trying to feel better… fast.

That late-night scroll?
That extra drink?
Skipping the workout?

They all seem to work in the moment. That’s why you keep doing them.

But they don’t solve the real problem.

The shift is this:
Stop asking “why do I keep messing up?”
Start asking 👉 “how is this helping future me?”

Because once you solve that… everything gets easier.

Also… set the bedtime alarm. And don't snooze it.
Staying up late to "do what you want" might give you a brief sense of control that you don’t feel during your work or family life....but it only starts a vicious cycle of exhaustion. It's called “revenge bedtime procrastination".
Trust me: Future you will be significantly less dramatic in the morning if you get your rest. 😅
