We’re proud to be featured in Antero Resources’ Foundation Friday!

The Antero Foundation’s generous $20,000 investment helped us make some major improvements to the Middlebourne City Park baseball field, including a new scoreboard, outfield fencing and baseline fencing.

Partnerships like this allow us to continue improving our parks and recreational facilities for the families of Middlebourne and Tyler County. We are extremely thankful to the Antero Foundation for believing in our community and helping us make these improvements possible!

When it comes to building healthier, happier communities, few things matter more than having places to play, gather, and grow.

This week's Foundation Friday spotlight goes to Middlebourne Parks & Recreation, a Tyler County, WV nonprofit committed to enriching lives through accessible, inclusive, and sustainable recreational opportunities.

In 2025, the Antero Foundation was proud to award the nonprofit $20,000 to support upgrades at the Middlebourne City Park baseball field, including a new scoreboard, outfield fencing, and baseline fencing. These improvements have significantly enhanced the facility for youth athletes, families, and community members who gather there.

🇺🇸 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔, 𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐃𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐄! 🇺🇸

As someone who has spent a lifetime in Middlebourne, it was truly remarkable to witness what took place on July 4th.

For one day, our community came together to celebrate not only Independence Day, but also the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America. From the parade and patriotic ceremonies to the community picnic, reenactors, live music, kids games, and countless conversations between friends and neighbors, it was a reminder of what makes small-town America so special.

In a world that often feels divided and rushed, Middlebourne showed that community still matters. Families lined the streets, children waved flags, veterans were honored, neighbors gathered together, and people of all ages celebrated the freedoms and values that unite us as Americans.

Small-town America is alive and well, and we were proud to see it on full display right here in Tyler County.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, donated, participated in the parade, provided entertainment, first responders, vendors, helped with planning, setup and cleanup, and supported this celebration in any way. Events like this are only possible because of people who care deeply about their community.

Most importantly, thank you to the people of Middlebourne and Tyler County for showing up and making this celebration one to remember.

As we reflected on 250 years of American history, we were also reminded that the future of our community remains bright because of the people who call this place home.
