its September officially , a busy month of transition.
outdoor to indoor racing, back to school time judging by all the pics on FB, soon we at 180 will be starting our 10th season as 180 Raceway !
we have done a few Tuesday Topics, folks know the classes we will be running. We released our schedule of large signature events for the season.. all that's left in a few more weeks, the last few folks to jump in to take advantage of the Season Pass perks ( technically, it would still be a great deal even if you got a season pass in 1st week of Nov. with the tire discount announced yesterday )

just like the sands of time keep marching on .. our 10th season will be here soon..very soon .. are you ready ?

Krazed Builds has brought the idea to life.
I appreciate the collaboration and the countless bench race sessions !
the car is super stable, I have asphalt set ups listed on PETITRC, depending on your tire and conditions, i think you will find it a secure drive, and then start to dial in your steering to your conditions. The car chassis design is pretty sensitive to various top deck designs. The front bumper is great design, and free to print !

the first batch is already selling with customers from Switzerland, and here in the states. I look forward to seeing more setups come though once these get in the hands of drivers.

It’s Tuesday Topic Time

Tires
We are going with Gravity RC tires.
I have been in contact with Paul through out the summer .
He made a running improvement in the durability of the tire.
Paul is a valuable and ethical resource for our hobby industry , highlighted by his commitment to drive tires from his house to last years Winter Warrior race overnight so we would have them for our race and he was glueing tires on site.
He has addressed the supply challenge of last year as well. I have confidence in our selection to remain loyal to Paul. I have also confirmed the availability of the USGT motor we will use in LMH.
The tires you can feel are more robust especially at the bead area. The feedback from top drivers across the country is positive as well.
We will have them available at the track

If you have gravity tires left over from last year please feel free to run them during our opening month of October , once we get into our signature races the improved batch will be the spec tire.

With improvements and time , costs do go up as well. These tires are lasting longer than the previous batch , Most other tracks have migrated to the $40 price-point for tires , we held off for 2 years , but we will have to go there this year.
Season Pass members will enjoy a discount for tires as well like in years past. So if you are good at math and looking at the value of the season pass consider the tire cost and the season pass tire rate being $30. Also I will need to monitor season pass guys buying tires for non season pass folks .. no reindeer games please.

We are Racing September 5th and September 19th
Track will be there at 7am practice should start around 930 or 10 then racing should start around 1130 to noon.Also a couple housekeeping rules, no screwing tents to the asphalt. Please bring trash bags to take your trash with you leave the parking lot like you found it. Please pit in the areas that are marked pitting on the map. And if you can please bring some small bills to help make change that would be greatly appreciated for entry fees . I also wanted to let everybody know there is plenty of food, sources and restroom opportunities on Ritchie Highway, Royal Farms is literally two buildings down.

Tuesday Topic !

a few weeks ago we announced how we will proceed with the LMH class, ironically a few other tracks have contacted me, and they were kicking around similar ideas.

25.5 TC
I expect this class to be exciting as ever come Winter Warrior 7 time.
The class is open to all that want to club race with us... However..

When it comes to Winter Warrior 7 , drivers that have won the 25.5 class at previous Winter Warrior races & drivers that have been on the podium for 21.5 in previous Winter Warrior races will not be able to race in this class for WW 7.

I assembled a group message for those that this directive impacts. they have been informed. some of those drivers are interested in the new LMH ( 180 spec ) class, some are committed to stepping up to the very competitive 21.5 TC class., others are looking at FWD.

The goal of this decision is to enable folks to compete for podium spots , that in some cases at other races get occupied by top level talent in 21.5 TC. This is Not a participation trophy moment. If this is your class, you know these are deep waters as well in 25.5 and the competition will be intense. I just wanted those top talent guys t spread their talents to some other classes to see what they can do . Mod TC is always an option in addition to all our other class offerings.

If you have feedback, or disagree, i am open to a respectful conversation, but i hope you grasp what i am trying to achieve.
